It is a good idea, but friend, people in general are selfish, hopefully this is not so much.

going over the week and i'm taking gbp/aud gbp/nzd and gbp/cad out of filtered ATeam - only a small position in the later two which i will close monday morn and gbp/aud is still struggling but hopefully it will get out next week and i'll remove it from AllPairs(filtered#Ateam)Blessing(gamma 2.0) - nearly closed it out for near break-even Friday Asia session but left it (doh!)

likely going to replace gbp pairs with eur/aud , chf/jpy and nzd/usd (possibly also cad/chf) and start them on the Allpairs(filtered#Ateam) for Monday - a little concerned about chf/jpy as it's a beast at times but it has won 12 out of 13 last two weeks so it might be doing something right.

Hi, There are various versions(bata, gamma) of Blessing Multipair EA. Which version are you trading/experimenting with, can you please provide a list of pairs and set file?

To whom it may concern. Attached you find the results of the first trading week, from 2020.22.01 to 2020.24.01.

Moin Peter ;-)

Thanks for sharing you results. Look similar to mine. What I have learned from other multipair systems in the past is, that at some point you have to make a restart. Close all open positions, even in red, and start from scratch.

I am trying to put the latest trial version in post#1. Im now using version 33-gamma, no setfile as I put my defaults into the code. You are free to change them though. The defaults came from the so often mentioned 5-minutes-all-pairs setfile.

Versions from version 30 on should not change the results for the pairs to trade anymore. Before I release a new version, I compare the results for a single pair with the results for the same pair in the "normal" Blessing version. Remember: the heart of the Blessing program has not been changed...

{quote} Sim, obrigado! Looks like we now have some coders who like to form a team. We should just avoid working on different versions. I was thinking of putting the mql onto GitHub.

That would be great! Would be easier to submit pull requests for fixes and improved capabilities.

Moin, Moin...

OK, you are right. To find the best time for exits or entries I need roundabout 1.000 closed trades perhaps more. Next step will be to optimize the number of currency pairs.
Greeting
Peter

Hi,
I think it is a good idea to develop Blessing Multipair EA in a team. However, I think we shouldn't put the cart before the horse.
1.) The functional logic of your EA, thank you for sharing ursinho4711 :-), seems to be OK except perhaps just small details.
2.) Now we should analyse how the EA behaves in forward testing. I don't think it makes sense to test additional filters at this stage. Blessing has enough alternatives and is powerful enough. At this point the question arises for me, do all filters really work as known from the original?
3.) If yes, we can consider:
a) At what times should we trade? (can we continue with the pending orders technology used),
b) Which currency pairs are the most successful in combination?
c) Is it worth building a .set file for each currency pair and is the performance of a MT4-dashboard sufficient for this? And
d) What is the maximum drawdown or the risk of total loss in the interaction of the currency pairs on a tick basis?
Greetings
Peter

How do you intend to leverage multi-pair operation?

What mechanisms do you expect to build that will make Blessing more profitable than her single-pair incarnation?

Can you make for MT5 so that we can backtest with multiple pairs?

Also what indicator is it going on? Just mathematics or is something triggering the entry? What about using an index indicator or sar?

Yes... after my post!

MT5 a possibility? Forward testing on MT4 isn't really viable to conclude using 28 pairs.... Far too many variables.

New version V34-Gamma in post #1.
Found two static variables inside the main program that probably caused a minor wrong calculation of the take profit when there was more than one pair. Moved the variables into the struct.

**edit**
I created a github repository. Whoever wants to participate has to register there and send me an e-mail. I will then try to add you to the team...

Ah thank you did not know you could do that. So that mt5 version is the same as what you've done? Is there the mt5 version with hedging built in? thank you for your reply

To be honest, I almost do not work with mt5. No time. Who made the "translation" was our friend fxtrue. Now we have a new version v34 which is already a lot better than that one from one week ago. I am fast making updates ;-)
The hedging function I removed from the multipair version. I am still thinking to reactivate it, though. More to that later in the "Blessing Setfile" thread...

Sun is shining, 38°C. I will go out and enjoy the day...
