A report published by Nielsen Music and relaunched by the American weekly Billboard highlights a curious musical trend.
Seattle Grunge bands are the most broadcast on American rock radios from 2010 to 2019.
In the top10 developed by Nielsen Music are Nirvana by Kurt Cobain the dominant band with 4 songs in the ranking.
To keep company with the most popular alternative rock band of the 90s,
there are three other symbol bands of Seattle Sound: Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden.
A fact that highlights how US radios and the public continue to prefer the rock of the past.

Carl Rutherford (1929 – 2006)

Carl (on dobro here) was born with spina bifida and his parents did not enter a name on his birth certificate, not expecting him to survive. He learned to play slide from his uncle and early on played in open tuning with a closed pocketknife as a slide.

And John Ferguson on electric guitar here (had played with Taj Mahal who ranked John as one of five greatest guitarists, in his opinion).
