hey Davit, hey guys, does this look like GBPUSD is a good long here?? some rejections at S61/S78, long with stop loss right below S78 target Pivot seems do-able...

absolutely clueless but would like to see how you guys setup your charts and what are the sort of setups for you guys to make a decision in which direction to trade.

Welcome. Please use indicators template here.Your pivots are 30pips off and that's serious.Ether you are using another pivot indicator or you got something else wrong.

PPE
Pivots Price Action Events
Rest understanding how one applies. For that you need to put time.Do calendar analyses beginning of the week and carry on.

Personally do I see a trade here for buy? No short answer.
Regards

Another tip. After London close there is no liquidity to move price opposite of swing. That takes lot of $$ and at 12.30 big boys are done.So You dont want to buy now and pay swap for weekend only to see price open even lower

Hi guys
Had a good week. Hit pretty good % and hair shy of 10% for the month and have 2 weeks to go.Everything from this point on is gravy until end of the month.
Something about % 1k account making 200 20% is not same as 100k account making 10% so when people post extremely high percentages you can be sure accounts are under 2k typical retail level. While it impresses nobs and gullibles its important to know risking a lot will catch up few bad trades and account is bust.Cycle continues more funds added more impressive gains then bust.
I am more impressed if someone posts a 1k account and become consistent trader through the year without blowing the account.

Carrying small DD on CJ
Next week is BOJ monetary statement and I think why UJ was not moving.
Keep up the good work

My Calendar Events week three January Sharp focus on USD and AUD this week. Mon GBP GDP m/m I usually don't trade GBP. Just putting as a reference. Outside of the numbers, Brexit will continue to be the main area of focus. Just 2 weeks remain until UK leaves the EU and enters the transition period. GBP Manufacturing Production m/m -0.3% 0.2%. CAD BOC Business Outlook Survey This report is highly respected given its source and timing in relation to interest rate decisions. It can also have predictive qualities regarding future economic conditions...

Good week for me despite some losses.

I'm trying to trade CHF because I see opportunities, I'm aware of the SNB manipulation and related risk.
Don't post swiss franc trades because I know it's not allowed here.

To say not allowed here is just not true. You can trade whatever you like! Its your money!
I always posted CHF is flip side of EU and you can trade Euro with less risk and less spread ,less swap - 0.75 interest rate is rather steep to hold even a day..Its smarter way to trade.

Which of this moved the most? 44 ADR pair last 20days with -0.75 or 83 pip pair with 0 swap
I just want you to understand with correlation its same difference is you are paying more on CHF but getting less return

That's my 500 dollar lesson to youfor free

If you value your money like I do you would trade smarter. This is the game protect your capital as much as you can. That is paying less spread less swap.It adds up by the end of the year!
When you see opportunity on CHF you should automatically look Euro corresponding pair!

Welcome! Great results but there are things that I am puzzled
You took over 1500trades in 2weeks average trade TP below 2 dollars. This is taking way too much effort and energy. In essence you are scalping...
but this thread is about swings not 2-3 pip gains.
If it works its fine but you are putting LOT of Trades.Over 100 trades a day. That's stressful...In comparison I have taken 151 trades since new year but my average profit trade is 37.51...Maybe allow more time on your trades...
anyway cheers

Notes for next week. Brexit is getting closer Jan 31 hence buying the Pound should be avoided likewise Euro trades should not be kept longer day or two.As we get closer to Brexit we may see dramatic reactions.Best be out of it focus on none Euro Pound pairs commodity pairs ideal.

Your typical colorful oscillator at the bottom of your chart is clueless about all the above! Keep that in your mind!
