233 tick - it seems to provide clearer patterns, than say a 1 minute chart which I have been swapping between

Had some time this afternoon, so reduced size and did a bit more trading. +14 / -12 / +59 / +48 from this morning = +109

Do you happen to, or would you be willing to, provide a screenshot of that bar on your charts? Would be interesting to see what it looked like. I see the current RTH low and a swift rejection looking at the price, but imagine large bid delta near the lows.

Very nice - they look like they were mainly based on break of trend or was there something else you saw too? Also, I notice you have multiple coloured candles in your chart as well as dots/markings above and below the bars - could I ask what it is they are showing?

I prefer first pullbacks after the trend break which I define as that last swing high or low being broken. Occasionally, during slower volume like yesterday, the pullback is on a single bar. Other times, when the break is back into the main trend, I will trade the breakout as opposed to waiting for the pullback; in that second instance, I will generally try to put a limit down around the breakout point instead of just buying above the top of the breakout bar.

The coloring on the bars is a volume indicator depicting bars with higher volume and range than other bars (blue/purple). The idea was that tick charts create a new bar when the same number of transactions occur; if the same number of transactions are occurring, but more total volume is traded, that would indicate larger orders. I use it somewhat, perhaps for added confidence such as the high volume reversal at the triangle apex in yesterday morning's trade, or during those breakouts mentioned above.

The markings are an indicator that select specific candle patterns I use for entry. This again is not completely necessary, but has standardized the entry mechanism for me. These include engulfing and 3 bar reversal entry triggers as I pointed out in your chart yesterday.

Gotcha...I was looking at a few of the first pullbacks this morning which I've circled on the chart. Also looking into Ninja Trader as it seems to be better for quick trading, allowing stops and limits to be automatically set, which is something I'm currently struggling with and doing it manually

Some thoughts here - and I don't know what platform you are using, but yes, I'm very happy with Ninjatrader. I'm fortunate to have bought it when I was first starting thinking I was going to get rich quick. We all know how that turned out.... but at least I own the platform

Ha ,yes! I think we've all been there!! It's Optuma which is actually a great platform especially if you're into geometry which I was having a look at but its not allowing me the userability that Ninja seems to , not to mention I'm still having data feed issues re the Nasdaq and my dow feed is a little temperemental too, so I'm thinking maybe best to have all it under one roof so to speak, rather than a separate platform, a separate broker and a separate data feed

I have some issues with the dow for whatever reason, which is why I didn't post a chart from ninja. I'm missing about 6 hours of data overnight for some reason. NQ and ES are fine. But yes, it would seem easiest to have it all under one roof.
