MY FX trades closed for the week AC at a small profit CJ at a small loss. Based on what I know living in Canada with customers having no freight with some closing there doors, and all the people I know that are slow or not working in so many different sectors. I'm calling BS on the CAD jobs data. It's in the news nearly everyday of the week layoffs here there and everywhere. Over 18,000 jobs in the province I live in alone in the past few months.

Romanov102 , totally agree 100% with your post. Bad all over Canada. Bad here in the East as well. Never have put too much stock in the data that StatsCan issues The video that you posted on Page 1682 was very insightful. Personally , I believe that the Economic downturn has begun , a massive credit bubble here in Canada.

Davit's recommended reading of "Reminiscences Of A Stock Operator" is indeed a must read. Profound.

this is still wrong...
USD is +1.5% and UJ is what like -0.4%? (not exactly sure about the O/N rates but yea USD is definitely higher interest than JPY

Long UJ is +1.9% per annum positive carry.
Short UJ is -1.9%, you lose money on the daily rolls shorting USDJPY mate.

I think you made a mistake.Based on the chart you posted its other way around
what is shocking almost -3% daily WOW no way to hold this beyond a day.It sure will drain the account.

Mate, reread your sentence....

Charge is a -, so short USDJPY is charged at 0.89% and Long USDJPY is charged (-2.99%)

Charging negative means they pay you 2.99%

Yes thatīs right! This thread is worth more than any course I payed for. Iīm traiding since many years already. I never understood what realy moves the market. I war searching for the holy grail always. I stumbled over Davits thread a few times, but I was always to lazy to realy learn more. This year I made a decision to only follow Davidīs advise and to change my view of the markets. The results are so far amazing..... I make so many mistakes, stopped all my trades much to early and traded not wise, but anyway I made the first time in my live big profits, and that even very relaxed. Anything can happy anytime. There is a random distribution between wins and losses.... and so on ...There is so much wisdom in this thread. And that for free. Thank you David for that!

There is a long way for me too, until I can contribute in here something usefull, but I will do my best to be a part of you here. Its a shame, that some people come here and behave without respect... Its good that David helps all others and keeps his thread on track and clean.
