Or to be very simple, if you find HD on weekly chart why not just stick with weekly chart and wait till that weekly candle closes above the trend line then enter. This was the method straight from Danny. So this case no entries. Happy holidays.

This EA looks "not bad". It uses RSI, ADX and MA.
I can not find something decent with MACD...

I think I will have a programmer build one for me with MACD. I'm sure it is not complicated and that it won't cost much. I will try it on a demo account and see if it is worth it.

I can not open a new topic because i am a new. Can anyone let me know if the can work with me on developing an expert advisor. It is a pretty good strategy well two. There is no holy grail but it is profitable

What kind of help do you need? I you know MQL- it's not a problem to creat EA.
I am talking about semi-automated system, using chamane's approach.

I can not code at all so basicly i need someone to auyomate my strategy but maybe someone to talk to in private as it will be a very long reply if i explain here and the if done share the ea on here

A HD pattern on a Daily chart. Switching to the next lower 4 HR chart, we see the start of a Trading Zone (blue rectangle) when MACD crosses the zero line in the direction of higher TF HD pattern. In the Zone, there were three MACD zero cross entries on the 30 min chart, one last thursday, one last Friday and one today. With a stop loss level at the last swing low in each case, they were all winning trades with a RR=1:1.




That's another way of seeing the pair.

Have a look please when you have time on this little tweak I was experimenting for long time- Changing MACD EMA to MACD SMA for both MACD line and Signal Line. I found that in many times, the quality of divergence is more profound and clearer and also has better early detection of trend minor or major changes by signaling divergences.

In this analysis, I am using the same settings of 8,17,9 and choose EURGBP Daily and 5Hour combinations as an example.

If we look at the vertical line on the daily chart, we will see a nice correction for 200 pips in this strong downtrend. The point here is that when we examine Histogram divergence on both MACD with SMA (above) and MACD EMA (below), we will find that the MACD SMA Hist has shown a clear classic divergence marked by (A), (B), and (C) In other words, the histogram went from below zero to above zero and then dipped below again. While in MACD EMA Histogram, the magnitude of the histogram was getting smaller. This what we call the weakest type of divergence and sometimes is neglected depending on the parameter settings we are using.

The divergence that occurred from MACD SMA histogram did not (in my opinion) occur at any significant support/resistance level. On the contrary, I would be very reluctant to take a bullish bias against this strong bearish trend. However, the divergnec from MACD SMA Hist would give me a heads up to carefully examine Lower time frames to find out the next bias.

In the 5 Hour chart (roughly five times smaller Time frame), we have a trend line break and a small price action structure which gives us a chance for placing our stop losses and targets. We can, of course, use your idea of confirmation by checking MACD lines crossing zero. I placed a vertical line on both MACDs occurring at the moment of the breakout as shown in the photo. There was no delay in the signal at all. They both occurred at the same time.

Have a look Chamane at the Simple Moving Average MACD. I believe it gives a better overall divergence. I think there are some MT4 MACD SMAs available. Iam using the built-in one in tradingview.

What is important as well is to experiment with a number of parameters of MACD or any other indicator to fine-tune the indicators with the peaks and troughs of price action. Gerald Appel in his books did mention the idea of choosing more than one MACD.
