Long time no speak in here, shorted the Dow earlier on the pump and made a nice bit back

Closed some of my EU shorts before the exit poll, tracked the rise then sold the GU &EU to make up my loss and some, so overall, +ve speak tomorrow, D

Yep, definitely a big day between the election and the trade deal. I also thought the bad miss on employment claims was noteworthy too, not a good sign for the labor market.

Gals @ Gals, it's Friday night and I'm having my favourite tipple (work again the weekend) and thinking, for the new year setting up demo accounts with a trade copier, the idea would be we could all have access to the demo accounts and trade "ALL" our trades with each other, I for one miss opportunities and likewise, you may too but the idea is someone, somewhere, won't, it's only a concept and I'm not saying I'm some guru, a flash in the pan, but I can, as a person, responsible, the demo account, tracked will show all our potential, set on the minimum lot size and no trade goes unsupervised (no set and forget) someone always monitoring, heck my phone is on through the night with all my trades, probably why I'm so poorly, something to chew over, we trade our own, you decide if we trade yours, I leave it with you, D

Was thinking actually, do any of you trade over the xmas period? Obviously not xmas day but in between etc...

DC, markets are open over Christmas but generally thin volume and a tendency to do some strange things, I was wiped out with the EUR flash crash some time back, D

Yeah I know what you mean mate, I probably wont trade much over the xmas period but leading up to it until the 22nd I will.

I'm not sure if this week's conditions are going to be very ripe for trading, at least during the US session. All we can do is wait and see what happens. There's never a solid date for when participants leave for the holidays. Liquidity is going to dry up at some point. It's usually a little before Christmas.

There seems to be almost a day where it happens overnight and liquidity just dries up. I can't say for sure what day, but every year it happens. With no big releases from the US this week, it should be interested to see how it plays out. Good luck DCstart!

Ed, mobile ATM but an in and out, WTI and Gold but cut them, in a little early for a long Dow, cut then back in later to recoup losses and some speak later ,D

Where you at detector, missing you in cheetah etc What are you in lately? Also, didn't read the whole thread but what Island is this about.. Island as an idea or UK (island/s)? BTW was almost in London this week, but skipped it (although still thinking if i should catch it...) Am observing the opportunities since I do love to trade London times the most, triple the liquidity at certain markets... Trying to figure if there would be any benefits of physical presence there I like the dynamic and "energy" or better.. "aura" of some places... For me Canary seems to be sweet spot, like low-profile City (specially after that Bridge situation... I love the Dogs even more.. What do you think hope it is not too much off the topic but since not much activity/liquidity... I said what the hell ...
Can you afford to take that chance?

Ef, sorry about the misspelling, forgot them darn glasses, and to be so vague, yeah, Santa delivered but not to the extent (certainly at the moment) ChinUSA talk could have done if all the hype was to be believed, while I'm typing the Dow looks like a leg down appearing, all a little unsettled however think it could be a rouse, past patterns have shown a sharp move, given this I'm on the side a little until we get some clarity, long would be my preference for the time being, hope your well bye the wayD
