This birthday is from way back, but it's important because the actual group, The Foundations, was the first multi racial group in the UK to have a number 1 single which was 'Baby, Now That I've Found You" and they had a follow up single that got to number 2, 'Build Me up Buttercup'. The band member with the birthday is Tony Gormez. Here is their two singles....

Another having a birthday is Berton Averre, lead guitarist with the Los Angeles rock band The Knack who scored the 1979 US No.1 single 'My Sharona'. Their album Get the Knack became one of the most successful debuts in history, selling over one million copies in less than two months and spending five weeks at No.1 on the Billboard album chart. As an aside, Doug Fieger, the lead singer passed away after battling cancer for several years

This man looks like an Indian .. beautiful song.... I have Indians in the family .. I am of Indian descent part of my grandfather and my grandmother German descent ... so my hair is so black because of Indian descent ...

I have some family members who live near the Amazon.
This song played my essence..

He could be, or perhaps has some Quechua blood in him? I'm not sure....I'll try to find out and let you know if I do.

Be proud of your heritage and learn all you can from your elders, they can teach you much.

I'm glad that you loved the song, I do too. I have friends here from Peru (Cusco) who play this on their pipes and charango sometimes.....it's always magic.

Juan Leonardo Santillia Rojas (born October 18, 1984) is an Ecuadorian musician

Rojas came from his home country to Spain in 2000 while his family remained in Ecuador. From there, he went to Germany with a tourist visa repeatedly. He lives with his Polish wife in Berlin, where he made money as a street performer. A passerby informed him about the talent show Das Supertalent. He applied for the fifth season in 2011 and was able to qualify for the final rounds. With an interpretation of "El cóndor pasa" with the panflute and other South American wind instruments, he came through the semi-finals. This resulted in a reunion of the musician with his mother from Ecuador, causing an emotional performance. At the finals on 17 December 2011, Rojas played the instrumental track "The Lonely Shepherd", written by James Last, which had become a hit in 1977 when performed by Last and Gheorghe Zamfir. Rojas won the competition with a distinct lead.

Hi Guys and Girls, this is my first post here, although I frequently visit this thread to listen to some good music and read all the comments and generally use this thread as an escape from the cruel and selfish world that we live in. After going thru the last couple of pages it really touched me to know that there are still people who genuinely care about others. Thank you all for this thread.

Gold: December 13 review

Global indices jumped today after yesterday's positive sign for US-China trade decisions.

US president, Donald Trump tweeted yesterday that we are very close for phase one trade deal between world's two leading economies, US-China.

After the news released, precious metals markets crashed and gold made a low $1466.20 range today.

All Asian and European indices traded above +1.2% today due to positive sign for the trade deal. And a strong majority would give to Johnson's conservative party to support the pass of Brexit deal at the parliament soon.

The pound was to open sharply higher against the USD and EUR to 2.2% and 1.7% respectively.

By 12.45 PM GMT, Dow 30 futures, December contract traded +90 point, up 0.32% at early US hours.

Palladium prices reached a record high $2000.00+ an ounce today due to trade deal and mining disruption at South Africa, a major producer country of it.

By 07.45 AM ET, US Dollar index futures, December contract traded $96.863 range, down -0.53%. And made a low $96.715 range today which was almost four and a half month low against all leading currencies.

Gold futures, February contract traded $1479.50 range, up 0.51% and made a low $1466.20 today.

Chinese Yuan also made a four and a half month high against US Dollar today due to hopes for two sides from trade negotiations. We will expect Chinese authority to given some positive news for trade deal soon.

Expectation of profit booking in hedge funds like Gold and silver today.

Before US open, for intraday strategy for Gold is given below.

Entry point - $1479.50- $1481.00 range

And keep R1 $1492.00

And wait S1 $1465.00
And wait S2 $1460.00
And wait S3 $1455.00
