Hi ROEye,

Actually, I should have posted the image with the 8,17,9 settings (like in chart number 4), but I am also using the 16,34,9 as it is part of my whole analysis for that particular case. The Hidden Divergence pattern is seen on the 4 HR chart (2nd chart), but we have a MACD zero line cross on the Daily (blue vertical line on the 1rst chart). According to the cost averaging approach, we are entering a Trading Zone and we can look to enter trades on a chart 8 to 12 times lower. So using a 16,34 settings on a 1 HR (3rd chart) chart is for the simulation of a 8,17 settings on a 2 HR chart which is 12 times lower than the Daily TF.

HiddenDiv - Continuation

MACD and Stoch 8,5,5

Watching on LTF
H4 Time Frame, still some choppiness/range needs to be cleared as well as TL break.
MACD is breaking Zero level.

Not an ideal setup so far because of H4 Range.

In my experience, different traders always have different ideas, concepts and approaches to their trading / what they do or don't apply to their charts. Above all, I think that its just important that each trader use whatever they need to enhance their own trading in a way that feels right for them. As Im sure you'll agree, what matters most is that we find, adopt or implement a trading system that we feel confident in and that allows us to be consistently profitable in the market.

In my trading system, I use the MACD as my primary indicator for spotting divergence on the charts. I use multi timeframe analysis and price action behaviour to better understand, analyse and trade within the market. The other two indicators that you see on my charts are helpful for me as additional information and additional confluence. These help me to see the ebbs and flows in the market in a more detailed and comprehensive way so its more of a personal preference thing really more than anything else.

I appreciate your advice though. I can see that you are happy with your own unique trading style and I wish you all the best in your trading.

We need price to clearly cross that trendline down before taking any MACD signal. It looks like price wants to float above the line.

That video explains it very well and gives great examples of price action entries, which I prefer. Highly recommended watch. Offers two other ways to enter along side chamane's method.

AUDNZD. A HD pattern on the Monthly chart and the start of a Trading Zone on the Weekly. I will be watching for entries on the 16 HR chart.
