I also took orders to pick up nearly 30 levels (at that time I was confident it could not happen). In the end, that account was on loss. It was also my memory.

@nononsenseFX Would you mind sharing the exact settings u use for XAUUSD and on what TF? Or just share the .set file?
Anything above the line is an uptrend, below the line is a downtrend.

Default settings. EA is independent of TF.

I tried backtesting the EA and it didn't open any trades on default? Also what is the difference between SmartGridEA.ex4 and SmartGridEA_noDLL.ex4 ?

change MAxspread to 400 when backtesting. No difference. SmartGridEA is a earlier version.

It woros but it bustes a 10k account in 4 months...

What starting lot size do you recommend for 1000€?

Also does the hour matter? Im from eu and u are from usa, broker difference?

Minimum $2500 and starting baselot 0.01.

I'd very much like to give this a try but because this EA has an expiry, I am not sure its worth putting a lot testing effort in because someday this EA will stop working for all but the owner. Wouldn't it be good to remove the expiry? Why keep the expiry date if this is meant for everyone?

Kinda sounds like he is using people for development then will cut everyone off and market the EA.

Friend, no one force you to use this EA or do anything. The EA has an expiration date well into 2020, unlike other EAs expire every month.

This EA is not designed for you to get rich quick. It is designed for long term investment. Sometimes grids can take weeks to close in profit. Therefore, when choosing which pairs please consider swap. Those EA generates 20%, or even 50% return per month could wipe out your account in a couple days as well. Please trade it safe and aim for long term gain.
I also use grid ea, so I have the same expectations as you described it.

Tried it on a demo but got 60% DD over the past two days on gold due to it trending. Account is $3000,starting 0.01. Anything wrong that I'm doing?

Thanks for the EA. I am currently running forward test on a demo account. Just today after the NFP that orders are closed and 20% profit is made.

I noticed that EA has expiry date. You said in 2020 but when is that? Will you extend the expiry date once it is reached?

If the EA will expire in short time and no extension then it has no point to continue the testing. Hope you understand.

EA will be extended after expiration. Current expiration date will be close to Christmas 2020. No need to worry now.

Ok I have linked it. Pls check it under my account. The account has recovered today amazingly. But the DD is a bit scary.

60% drawdown is a bit high for $3,000 and lot sizes of 0.01
For the past 2 days my drawdown was less than 25% with a balance of less than $130.

Are you using the correct settings?
