QuoteDislikedApparently a prior poster said there was a virus detected (false positive), but it was enough for FF admin to panic and remove the file.
QuoteDislikedIt’s a false positive on that file. Because it emulates keystrokes, windows deems it a Trojan. It was made with a program called AutoHotKey. No big deal. I have made my own version and it gave my one a false positive.
QuoteDislikedForex Factory has advised me that there may be a virus in one of the files in the zip. As a result the zip file has been permanently removed, ...To anybody who is already using the indicator and/or the downloader, obviously you're welcome to continue doing so, but please understand that it is at your own risk. { virus risk deleted by staff }
Dislikedgetting the "unable to download calendar" error with v4.14 If @hanover is willing to provide an update and link to it from a different host (e.g. github), that would be wonderful. I can also host it on my dropbox without any issues. Thanks. This is the only news downloader version that seems to save the news historically in text (csv) format. edit: It looks like forexfactory at least has the current weekly data in csv, json,...Ignored
Disliked{quote} I suspect forexfactory may no longer allow attachments that contain exe or other executable files. Until @hanover uploads his own cloud link, here is a backup: https://www.dropbox.com/s/3q11e17q6f...v4-14.zip?dl=1 (will be deleted once hanover uploads his own link)Ignored

Disliked{quote} Try re-downloading the latest v4.15 here: {quote} @Hanover caught this and pushed an update to some of the indicator-related files a few hours ago. Replace the newer files (Date Modified) and see if that fixes it. Again, I dont use the indicator part; just the download part. So thanks for the report. Hopefully this will cover things for a while. ----- Quick fix for the "invalid integer number as parameter 2 for 'ArrayInitialize' function" error. both plot news indicator files, news downloader.exe and presets--plotnews.3 have been updated....Ignored
DislikedUpdate: Have found a solution to the NewsCal problem - by using a different URL in the indicator inputs next to: "Forex Factory URL" it's necessary to enter the new url, which is: https://cdn-nfs.faireconomy.media/ff...r_thisweek.xml. (Be sure and go to the page to get it - because the url here is abbreviated.) Works like a charm. As for Recent News there is only one sort-of-url given in the user inputs and that's news.csv - next to "News Input File" - if you change that to the above url it won't initialize. I can't find any input...Ignored
Disliked{quote} {quote} Edit2: new link to v4.15: https://www.dropbox.com/s/qe88amq0i5...v4-15.zip?dl=1 added pdf of the OP content prior to deletion of exe from the OP. {image} ---------------- It works now. Apparently the code is unchanged, but there was a bug in the AutoHotKey compiler, which cause the script to stop working on some devices. NewsDownloader.exe was recompiled and it works without any problems on machines that may have had problems. 1000x thanks to Hanover for continuing the project the best he can. edit: antivirus...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Pedro, Thanks for your kind comments. Try the following (copy/paste it as one continuous line): <event>
n[T60]
<country>c[T3]</country> <date>d[D-M-Y]</date> t[th:Ma] <impact>i[T20]</impact> <forecast>f[T20]</forecast> <previous>p[T20]</previous> </event> That's the nearest I can get to the FF calendar's XML format, without making significant modifications to the software itself. I will include this format in the dropdown list, in the next release of...Ignored
