Ratios & Harmonics: a Different Way to Trade

26784 long for me. I'm a sucker for trying to catch the falling knife trade.

Couple of options here, I hope to reverse my long position around 860 and play the longer term bearish bat. If my long fails maybe take a long around 742 for the butterfly with a 700 stop

We need to get by 821 for this to go and make a NSH...go bulls

I have exited at BE. Not going to take this thru lunch hour. Momentum has faded. Two trades today +20.

Finished with +44, wanted the bearish bat today but didn't quite reach that area. Rescued the first long.
The 2nd trade short was coming up a little short of target and was reacting well to the AOI for a Butterfly so I actually took profit reversing positions, but that the 3rd trade basically ran out of time and I bailed.

Not one of my best performance today in this hard to trade price action. I've been patient at first looking for a good opportunity but my first trade was a mess. I think I didn't identified the correct swing because after stopping me out it went to the right direction. the swing was strong and although I definitely entered too early I had structure on the left and price action that was slowing down coming down.

After my trade failed I knew that price really wanted to go up so I reentered. Again because of the strenght of the swing, break of small structures, structure on the left and still price action couldn't reach a NSL in the bigger picture.

I ended up with just 9 points..

My chart to start the day. Main swing is from 757 to 890 - 133 points.

Long at 872. Intraday and immediate 1-1's expectations for NSH. Need a little momentum from the bulls. Been sluggish so far.

Take out at 913 on decision candle trail.

One trade on YM today. Once the market takes off on these large moves after the day begins, I don't have anything in my trade plan for that scenario, which I have reliably tested with a positive expectancy. Just have to move on to tomorrow.

3 trades today for me. After 2nd trade failed, I saw the seller are more active so I switch side and manage my 3rd trade very aggressively.

YM Longer term outlook, the Bearish Gartley failed but we still have some overhead resistance.
2 options
1. Deep pullback into structure for the long.
2. Crab for the short with stop above previous structure areas....I'd want to see some IOF targets terminating in/near that Crab AOI.

Strong moves tend to test and work areas of HTF support resistance with weak corrections along the way. DBL, triple+ tops and bottoms become immediate areas to test strength of the move onwards to edges of the HTF range. ES D1 had a pretty clear line to test. YM as well.

If price were to get 26950 area, this is one in my plan I could take. D completion, AB=CD, 61.8 of intraday order flow (from the large run this morning), AOI with structure.

I took just one trade today. It was a continuation trade, price was strongly pointing up and I had a very powerful mainswing after a break of structure. This was an important break in the long term and price was really struggling to go down. Increasing mormentum and great projection.
