Closed my gold long position, it has dropped out of a rising trendline on the 5min chart, pondering too long at this level which confuses the indicators, it's waiting for something, also the hourly break approaching so closed for a small loss, worth it not be involved until a clearer picture emerges, D

You got that right... I suspect it might get it soon Also I agree that when in doubt... I would certainly not enter now and would close at even/profit atm... This waiting annoys me, because we can never be sure when spikes might hit, that is specially dangerous for higher leverage trades...
Can you afford to take that chance?

A, good sound advice, been a national holiday so thin volume, I had the fall on open and made a sheckle, left a portion to run, never happened,hit stop, the whole cycle left me break even, chart showed a possible stellar rise, (price coming back a little as I type) similar to the start of the month,I was in for this repeating, may happen but when the crowd gathers, soon see, cheers, D

Yeah man, GOLD loves volume... The more, the better.. I suspect we might get a ton of it at the end of the month... BTW, speaking of holidays...
I am almost surprised every year that there are no holidays on Halloween (in US) since there has been so much drama around it Maybe even more so confusing since we (in my country) are off for 31OCT and 01NOV

Some would see it as an opportunity for sure, could just be a luck dip on the day, see the brokers sending out warnings, expect margins to be exaggerated too, holidays, only another to pay us employees, hard enough getting payed for working let alone not D

In view of Karen Jones, analyst at Commerzbank, Gold’s price action continues to resemble a consolidation pattern.
