Two trades on YM today for +7. Tricky day on the chart. That point at 379 (which I circled), I messed up my analysis there and moved to a short expectation, when in reality, that opening day structure should have been my guide, as the NSL did not fail. The structure at 379 was not a NSL, just a retest. That error put me in rescue mode on decision candle and then considering the short on trade 2. That thought crossed my mind after taking trade 2 and was more aggressive getting to BE after being up, as I realized the error. After that, the order flow was choppy and called it a day. Fortunate to be green today.

I traded the NQ today. After a break to the downside I expected a deep correction and although I entered a bit early I had a clear area where price was expected to turn that have been tested twice putting me a bit on the pain train. Price was strong to the downside and the expectation was clearly for a NSL. And that's what happened. I closed the trade at the 1:1 because I trailed pretty agrressively.

Hi Mr Pip. I have question about entries. I really like the rotation candle entries as I have found they are a reliable indication to see if price has the strength to turn back into the expectation direction. I use them about 80% of the time and the other 20% I use a another close time period / tick chart to see if my trade qualifies (still using a rotation candle entry however).

I was wondering if you have any thoughts about the candle after a large strong rotation candle. If the rotation candle becomes too expensive to trade (say tops above (or below) the 38.2%Fib) but the following candle(s) retraces the rotation candle say by half making the trade plausible do you think that there is still enough reason to enter the trade? I recognise this may not be a black and white question and could be discretionary depending on PA. I haven't seen this in your trading but wondered if you ever employ this strategy.

Hope this makes sense.

Such cases are the best!

And it really boosts confidence. Which really, shouldn't be the case as emotions have no place in trading, but in all honesty, we are emotional beings. Ideally, one is happy about wins (pat on the back is always welcomed, isn't it?) and refrains from negative emotions when loses occur.


Today I missed the LO push downwards, regrettably. Yesterday's close was quite clear we'll be soon seeing a decent PB. I have not time to trade in NY session, so again, no pips for me, but I'll keep my fingers crossed for others.

What does LO mean?

I think that you are right about emotions. However, we do need the emotions to feel confident in our trade plan. When we get a good trade based on or plan and it works out, then that is good moral for believe in our plan.

Of course if someone enters a buy or sell order with out a reason why and gets lucky, that is not moral. That is the emotion of a gamblers high if they win and a gamblers remorse if they lose. Just my view.

What are you basing this on? You need to attach your chart and the time frame or tick chart that you are using for your bias.

NEWS cycle is uber bearish going into the open-China trade deal hope vanishing- Poor PPI- Syria pullout- Trump Impeachment troubles
All considered high odds for lower going into London close
Traded immediate order flow for support area of Friday lows.

Wowzers!!! If we tested the lows of last week with strong bear power, that would be a huge market it crash that could last through the end of the year, possibly.

Yes, but we do have an interest rate announcement end of October which can give some legs to market in previous 2 weeks going into the announcement. Especially if talk turns to possibility of 50 basis point cut. Anyhow Powell speaking a bunch this week. Watch for weak corrections in the immediate and intermediate order flow which indicate to level up in order flow for direction/correction.

It's nice to find someone that is great at FA... you are a rare and valuable breed her on this thread.
