Reducing risk in case this wants to turn at the 618 of the AD leg and continue AB=CD to the downside. Hopefully, we continue on with an intraday NSH..

Been good for 80+ points will have to look out for another one of these

Although, I was looking for longs, I realized that I should have looked to the larger order flow for advice first.

Sometimes, my problem is that I see what should clearly be staring me right in the face after the fact.

oh well.. it is what it is. I just gotta take the knock'in and keep on rock'in.

I did get into long of longerish term order flow just passed 61.8 and right in my AOI box after the 1:1 of my sell finished. Got out by trailing after a shorter term 1:1 up and past the 61.8 of the AD leg (also in my AOI for sell zone) will post pics after trading day is done. (stupid Tradestation platform makes it very difficult)

Trailing behind structure and we know 27000 will be a big level...Would love if it would make a NSH so I could get behind the 38.2 as we moved up...

Possible continuation bar by bar pattern to the upside by at least another 100 points. Time will tell. This week, price seems to be respecting structure a little bit better than the last two and a half months.

I actually stopped looking for trades after I made a undisciplined move and tried to take a long on a order flow that I thought would hold. I would have been looking for longs and taken a stop but I guess me being undisciplined and stop looking for trades due to the undisciplined play saved my ass from that expectation failure on the NSH takeout spike.

Losing day for me

Something to share with the group, which I have been planning to test. I missed this today, because it happened quick and I was focused on my long trade. (I guess sleeping at the wheel to draw this out in advance). I have noticed when there is a reasonable size of swing (in this case 992 to 867 = 125 points, not a small 20 point bounce) and we have a retest that fails to make a NSH/NSL, the 161 extension seems to be money on an entry with a target of another retest of the failed high. As you can see, even with a very volatile event, it respected the 161 and in this case we have some good structure to support on the left, which adds strength to the set up.

Entering at 800 (161.8% with some reaction to confirm) with a reasonable 20 points below structure (stop at 760 for 40 points risk) and a target back at 980 (which it just reached 950 for 150 points profit), that is strong RR. Even being conservative and trading it like an ABCD pattern with the 61.8 as target, it still provides a good RR trade. In this case, it reached the 78.6.

Thought I would share and planning to backtest and sim trade this set up live when I see it...Curious if anyone has traded this set up before.
