Good day traders!

Early first trade. Took this long with my SL right below the area. I went to a BE at the 38 of the correction and started trailing decision candles after price went through the 61 retracement level.

Trading against the expectation unintentionally. long

Over looked that price had made a NSL

Looking at the 233 tick chart on the YM... If this one to one plays out, it would have some structural confluence to the left.

Luck has no place in trading. Leave that for the poker table.
Price corrected 100% and trailed aggressively at the top. Going to hold until this breaks unless we get to the bottom again for a good RR entry.

Ok I got out oat a breakeven since I had no reason to be in a long and got taken out +2 points on the day. Not great trading today

In my analysis, I considered it a retest (100% correction) since it was so close and maintained the NSH expectation.

Mr Pip just for your info in my YM chart it didn't make a NSL since the candle closed above the low of the main swing.
I think Damian was using the low of 27103 on the 144 tick

I was using the exact same low on the 144t

It occurs to me - the enemy of my trade plan (besides myself sometimes) is the megaphone pattern. Or as I now like to call it the "expectation failure pattern".

1. BE after test of high. +2
2. Loss on Short hit stop. -22
3. Loss on Long hit stop. -16
4. BE on Short. +1
5. Win on Short got taken on trail. +13.
That weak NSL/retest area at the start of the session had a good rotation and per the trade plan should have been taken long. Shame on me.
I literally could not decide if the market was still long or had turned short due to such a weak close and THATS why I should have just treated it as a retest instead of a NSL. shame on me.
