Interesting. I have also been looking at per-hour breaks, though in my case movement away from the bar's close, not a H/L break.

20 pips PD on sort-of auto on such a robust concept would be golden. Whether I could just walk away and let it do its thing on it own, I dunno.

Yeah range was too big..... No trade.... I had issues with the time again it opened a trade when I woke up but it was too early..... For the time I putted in.. AU is also 1 I would like to add.... Maybe it was a nice option to add a second break option to the ea.... But that's maybe a idea for the future.... I will try aj as well.... What timerange for that...?

Today if we forgot about max range it would have been a good one... But I have no stats to back up what's better....

Is it only possible to trade breaks of whole hours or is it possible to also to add for example the break of a 15 min bar?

I think I switch to another broker wich match your times.... It's easier for me for now I guess...... I want to attach it soon to a small live account....

I indeed think it can be used on a few more symbols.... But have to investigate....

That's the hard bit and one reason I started it on overnight so I wouldn't be watching - didn't work out at first.

But now I just leave AJ to do what it wants.

AJ - 10.00 pm to 00.30 am. Basically NY close into Tokyo open.

That answers your next question. You can set it to 08.15 or whatever. Where you enter the hour just enter minutes below so could be open 08.00 close 08.15.

Second break option is already there - just set max number of trades to 2.

Something like this ...

Got AJ on 30 min chart and those are the settings (not the times obviously). B/e + at 8.5 is worth adding. That's saved me many times including last night.

Edit: with AJ make sure you enter it as 22.00 GMT.

Thanks will add aj now.... I more ment like first break high for example : no trade... Then if it breaks low take the short.... I don't know if something like that is possible....

Hi P, you could check Frequency Distribution Stats on Hi/low breaks AND the candle/bar time.

edit. You hopefully will have a bias rather than a 50/50 outcome.

Anything is possible but I think it can do what you want now. I'll have a look later.

The new ea will create the stats itself and set ranges etc based on probability based on past history if that makes sense.

That sounds good.... If I want the start time being 00:00 what should I fill in 00?

Just put 0 in that will work.

Edit: but be careful make sure you have Auto Trading switched off when you put new settings in. It will open a trade straight away if criteria met.

Preferably white.

Have a play with this. Hanover coded it for me some time back. Basically works on the 1h bar on break of daily pivot.

Range was just of by a bit... I changed range to 250...but still no trade...... Hopefully next one will be good.... Want to see I takes the right trade....
