seems like yet another symmetrical dual-diagonal diamond on the Dow currently in progress...

Good day Igor,

I am watching closely I think brake to the upside will take it up to 2800 braking upper yellow line in a spike like move and perhaps orange line will be a place to sell? Moving down from here towards 2300 will postpone new highs for a time being. But looking at yens they are dew for correction. What are your thoughts on sequence of moves?

seems like this diamond on the Dow is a reversal one... new high is likely also...

Do you have an example of a specific stock when a Reversal Diamond indicated a drop of 75% (or even 50%) of the stock's value and it actually happened or is the resulting drop mainly theoretical?

it's not just about percentages... it's about a previous trend being fully reversed and covered after a reversal diamond is formed... and this happens all the time... therefore in terms of percentage current uptrend on the DJIA, which started in January 2009, is the largest so far thus likely making the subsequent expected drop also the largest in the market's history in case this new diamond actually appears on the chart...though we have already seen the drop in excess of 50% after a reversal diamond was formed in 2007-2009 on the same DJIA chart when the market declined from 14198 to 6470 which indicates 54.43% loss in its value at the time...as we can see back then the previous uptrend that started in October, 2002 at 7197 mark also got reversed and fully covered...

we are going to see new ath's in US equities in September. S&P to near 3,050, DIA >27,500. Stocks are going up because TINA - there is nowhere else to go for yield. Nothing on the left side of the charts matters. All the arguments about oooh look at this all-time high, it's time for things to reverse - these are now and have been wrong hundreds of times before, when prior ath's were touched.

That August pullback should lead to some nice new all time highs in September and probably further new all time highs by the end of the year. Money should start pouring back into equities since previously the money had piled up in perceived safe havens. Just got to continue to be choosy and go with quality and track record and stick with companies with growth models that fit with the times.

nope... the left part is not a broadening triangle in this construction... thus it's not a diamond on your projected picture...

do your homework and follow the Yield Curve - it indicated the last important Highs in the Stock Market well in advance (10-12 months).
It will take until 2021 at least for a topping pattern.

you're criticizing the thread you apparently didn't even read... I didn't lose anything cause the top hasn't been reached yet...though shorting ahead of 28000 will be like shooting fish in the barrel as the initial correction to 22600 is a must in the medium-term while a deeper drop to at least 17000 is also a must later on... there is 70-80% chance for the DJIA to reach 5500 level over the following few years (five to seven or even sooner) as well...

just for the fun of it: 5500 for Dow within the next 5 till 7 years? good luck, you will need it - for sure. 70-80% probability for this is a joke with 100% probability. all those crash prophets/ dr. dooms come loud and go silent. the investors stay. and buy the dip.
