Just thought I would post my trading page for Crude if anyone else trades this beast, using weekly, and 4 hour pivots. The 4 hour chart uses weekly pivots as is the format in this thread.....but oil is the mother of all movers and responds to shorter time frame pivots during the most active of trading sessions being NYMEX that begins trading at 9 EST. With S and P and Dow falling off the map on Friday, and market nervous today more opportunities presented themselves.

At 9 today the S and P was already pulling back, Crude was trading at the 4 hour resistance, on the 5 minute chart crude had a late 4 hour markup to R78, opened to a failure at R38 and began to pull back.....should have loaded up but being conservative as I tweak this method. So, this post was just to show another way to look at the market.

Used to trade OIL a lot, it has become very irrational the last few years. Have to watch rollovers if you're trading CFD's or Futures. I don't have the rollover option enabled. These guys have really shook up the marketplace Genscape. The big money subscribes to their services and the DOE report on Wednesday is nothing to them they already know the answers a few days ahead of time. This company routinely flies over the oil storage facilities with geo thermal cameras and they calculate the inventories, they monitor rail, pipelines, ships, the entire supply chain. I inquired a couple of years ago and it was 20+ K for a yearly subscription to their service.

I know there is a lot more to trading crude, but just paying attention to market structure and its relationship to Dow 30, S and P, Naz...along with pivots gave me two very good days in spite of the fact I only seldom traded West Texas in the past. I have however, always had it running on my Cad trading page because of the strong reverse correlation. When you buy that subscription let me know so I can hound you for tips.....without paying....lol

Well as I predicted, China caved. However, this trade war with China is long but over. If one believes China is suddenly going to march to the Trump drumbeat with complete honesty, I think one had better odds of believing in the Tooth Fairy. While China has stolen Intellectual Property for decades now, they think it's now they're God given right to steal. China has always been the Masters of Deceit as they play a great game of Bait and Switch. Largely what they will do is get us to go in circles chasing our tail with unverifiable compliance. Remember: I told you first. If you like to read on the trading subject, here are some things.

Even on vacation, reading the thread from time to time, I saw that Davit has been absent for a long time and this has never happened before.

Not knowing anything, everything can be and the lesser evil would even be a burned/damaged account, even if this last hypothesis does not seem plausible to me because Davit, in addition to having considerable equity, was very attentive to risk management which in fact is one of the pillars of his strategy.

Whatever the reason for his absence, I hope he and his family are well.

All I can say is, I wish his a safe return. Without his presence none of us would be gathered together. Because of his presence and his works creating this thread, I wouldn't have met some great men and women that I have met here.

Hello fellow pivoteers. I saw Egbert's post last week with a new TMS Angleator indicator & thought this is a good opportunity to share a utility indicator called Snapshot_PipBull. You attach the indicator to a chart & it automatically takes a picture of the chart at the close of every candle. It stores the pictures in the chart terminal folder. You can view the pictures by clicking as follows: File/Open Data Folder/MQL4/Files. The program creates a folder under the Files folder. You stop the picture-taking process by simply removing the indicator from your chart. The chart doesn't have to be open for the process to work; it can be minimized on the taskbar but your computer must be on.
The original Snapshot indicator has been around for many years but I don't think it gets discussed much because it really only adds value when you have an indicator, like TMS Angleator, that leaves no visible record of it's readings.
I did not create the original Snapshot indicator, nor did I change the picture-taking part of the program. I made some minor changes to make it easier to manage the picture files. With my version, when you add the indicator to a chart it adds 2 labels to the chart. It adds "Snapshot_PB" and a chart-time stamp. Those labels let you know the program is taking pictures. When you remove the indicator from the chart to stop the picture-taking process, the chart-time stamp disappears but the "Snapshot_PB" label remains to remind you that the pictures are stored as described above. After you've reviewed the pictures you can go & remove the label.
I hope by sharing this indicator others will study the TMS Angleator & share their findings with the group.
