Very nice new direction spoof, I'm with you on this one. I noticed that we still can trade the H4, but only when the D1 shows an entry, then we can go down to the H4 to add-on trades as the price trends.

I'm a little upset with RH's main thread. We were supposed to only follow post #1 and find success with it, but as it turns out, nothing was mentioned about any ways to stay out of ranging markets, or the fact that getting caught up in bad ranging periods can whispsaw all our previously accumulated profits to nothing. RH always goes on about "Emulate what works", and posts nice charts about his 6-7 trades all showing green pips. But when markets are ranging, nothing is conveniently posted about how he manages his losses or the fact that he does't seem to show any charts with running losses.

Sure...if you want to trade the 4 hour charts based off what the daily chart trend is doing then have at ‘er be careful with your stop placements though because you are within the daily price action range.

I can’t speak to what’s going on in the original thread since I haven’t visited it in a long while. I took my exit when people started to throw in their ideas and it just started to confuse people especially new traders and it wasn’t offering me anything. Especially when I saw ideas that are flat out ill conceived IMO. That sort of thing is rampant here and I wanted to do something different. More confusion is definitely it what is NOT needed in trading.

So many threads on here have traders talking about all sorts of stuff yet very few actually show their track records, actually share their losses and are open and transparent. I have nothing to hide and I simply want to share my journey as a full time trader and perhaps someone will resonate with it and find success. I started the screen capture videos so I could show people my observations with real charts and to be able to discuss why I trade the way I trade. I hope they are helpful.

I saw the simplicity, on the surface, in the methodologies RH shared and unfortunately I made a rookie mistake and I abandoned the way I was profitably trading for several months prior. I abandoned the solid fundamentals I was using in favour of a super simple entry method. That's a hard habit to break i.e. chasing the next best thing. I had great results in July, but it wasn’t because of TMMS necessarily but due to much more favourable trading conditions.

I used to trade only in the direction of an established trend and I stopped doing that and paid dearly for it this month. I lost my way a bit here but lesson learned. I’m now going back to the trend identifying methods I used to use and back to the daily charts since the price action is more reliable.

Traders like you who are openly transparent are almost extinct! I hope to be transparent as well hence I post all my live trades and update them with the results. Your youtube videos are a godsend, its very logical and I watched all your videos.

Looking at your template from H4, I'm beginning to see that it identifies trends quite well, and has entries like the TMSr oscillator, without the drawback of not being able to identify ranges. Also I noticed that as long as the retracing price doesn't close within any of the red EMAs, and the EMAs are nicely fanned out and slopping, we can take trades at the change of the of the PSAR following the trend. I know you will trade D1 exclusively, but I will try to test out your methodologies on H4 and post them here live.

Good stuff. It does no one any good to be dishonest, withholding, misleading or secretive. I am not sure why people do it I am down 3.8R this month and have no reason to hide that fact. Losses are part of the game so I am showing that - this is the process. What is important is to be able to keep trading calmly and make reasoned changes when necessary. I have five years of trading experience and what this month has taught me is that a change is necessary. Not jumping to a whole new system, but simply making the required adjustments to behaviours, once identified, that were responsible for my losses. I recognized that I am over trading and that is a result of a combination of errors and those are trading the four hour charts as well as trading them in poor conditions. I have identified those errors and found a reasoned solution to be able to avoid them in the future. Now its time to get back to focusing on finding the best trading conditions, patiently waiting for the trade set ups, and placing and managing the trades when they present themselves. Rinse and repeat.

The four hour charts are trad-able for sure they are just prone to more choppy price action - even in trending conditions especially certain pairs. The multiple EMAs will most certainly help out with that though at least where ranging conditions are present. Those need to be avoided like the plague.

This looks kinda like the Guppy MMA trend trading method I tried out years ago. I was working on a much lower time frame so only got average results, but I was bound and determined to be a day trader, so spreads and whipsaws would always get me. Daryl Guppy has a few books out on on his style of trend trading with multiple MA's, not sure if they would have any info that would be useful or not.

Been there, done that and got my ass handed to me. Yes, I am aware of his books, but I am not sure they have anything extraordinarily valuable to offer beyond what the moving averages are already showing us. He has some complex ideas to get into trades that really aren't for me

Sure. I don't see why not plus gold, oil, indices and commodities. We will be waiting forever for trending conditions if we only look at a few pairs particularly on the dailies. You may want to narrow it down to a few pairs if you are trading the four hour charts because you will get more trade opportunities but also be subject to more whipsaw type price action so it's best not to be in too many trades.
