what is the point of posting technical analysis charts .. they don't work ..

technical analysis is good to read the past but not for future..

price need a reason to move .. a tweet from trump will set all analysis to hit SL...

anybody can draw some line and say if breaks this will go this way if break down will go that way.. oh and finally if breaks and doesn't move the way it should u are stop lossed. so analyst will say to give a sl and move on...


this is not the way warren buffet trades or invest.. there is no sl
and there is no line or indicators...

warren buffet tries to find the truth and valid information why price will move the way it should in next 2-5 years..

thats how u will make money ..

what is the instrinsic value of euro over usd..

if euro economy sucks and will suck for entire year with no clue of growth or better employment or better gdp or better interest rate or better retail sales or better exports


and if euro zone under political unrest

SELL EURO >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

No point finding buying signals on euro


euro will move down and down and down..

the question is who can give us entire truth of eurozone economy and what we expect in coming weeks months years..

I make money trading, have a look at some of my previous post with my “technical analysis” chart in different threads (I’m sure some members here will back me up also if they have seen my analysis and my “lines” drawn up.
i dont listen to news one bit nor do I take it into consideration and when I made 1200 pips on GU and something like 4000 pips in gold last month I’d say technical analysis works, tell me this if news was that important and was a factor to drive price why when the say the US has good news it still sucked against the euro a prime example of this was the other week, now I do believe news is used as an excuse to move price but news related or not price was intending to go their.

Not trading with a stop loss.....this is how you’ll blow your account when you sleep.

Warren buffet: “I don’t know WHEN to buy stocks, but I know WHETHER to buy stocks

When you buy stocks outright, you don't need a SL, you just need patience. Sure there are losers but less painful without leveraging.

leveraging is what hurts. Price moves from buying and selling = technicals.

News generally provides noise. Some news are earth shakers to the markets but for example, NFP isn't doing the kind of damage it used to 5 years ago to the markets.

what Buffett does cannot be compared to what traders do , Buffett is a long term fundamental long - only value investor with the deepest pockets of em all

in short you can say: Buffet is trading money devaluation - and since money devaluation is in the current system a one way train (different than exchange rates), he is riding along with.

I share this analysis big time. I see Oanda has big buy orders at 1.1050-55 and 1.103x area. Now what happens is that if price touches these buy orders it will break those supports and those buyers won't get easy money. Happens all the time. I also see a jump on Monday and then crash. It's better now knowing that the fundamentals now support the move down. I expect the pop up. Let's see how far up before the pop down.

You are generally correct. The big guys actually trade interest rate differentials and other core aspects of economic projections. But to bring it home, most of us here are retail traders with little money. In fact, the bankers are not smarter than us. They have way more information than we do, plus deeper pockets. Yes, EU will continue to move down, but it never moves in a straight line. I can still remember the nightmare of EU, in the face of the terrible Euro fundamentals, flying from 1.1186 to 1.1411 in one week. That's over 200 pips. Imagine a retail trader selling that bottom? So the t echnicals may not show the whole picture, by it helps us small fishes make sense of what's happening. Just step up to the daily timeframe and you'll be surprised how the charts can predict moves correctly, not the spikes or noise, but the real moves.

there is only one (partial) exception, S-R

successful TA traders are because of experience, skills, instincts, intuition, and we all gain through hard work and years of practice.

All well said. Just want to add that he makes mistakes too. Look up his investment in kraft and wells Fargo. Now he is betting (or shall I say investing) in US banks big time. Let's see if he is right.

he's had his fair share of blunders , though nobody can deny that he' s one of the all time greatest investors

but his portfolio is so big and his liquidity is so deep , that he 's able to ride thru market pullbacks of 10 / 15 % , and still come out a winner 3 / 4 years later
