Maybe not precisely 1.1255.. It is fib 61.8 area and I simply lean my theory on potential "Handle" of H4 Cup&Handle.. So it should be that area that starts truly resisting.. If bulls can't bring it higher it probably will form a handle.. Time will tell..

mmm if support breaks and all supports will eventually break, the market will head south, the fact everybody expects support to hold and trade long accordingly, is always the wisest option, however with all larger t/fs bear, a major support failure will be serious, and always worthy of caution, possible jack hammer in progress, time on the sidelines is always the cheapest

No.. in contrary everybody expects a breakout just like you do.. price has passed all fib retracement levels even fib 88.6.. Only I and some of my followers on this thread expect a bounce which is causing all the hefty critics towards my bullish view..

I agree with Ata, I'm seeing it going up today. It held pretty well above the 1.1200 and there's a big chance it will go up at least to 1.1250's. The only thing missing is the trigger, that should come in a hour with the EUR reports.

EUR/USD reached 1.1200 support and now started some bullish movement. I see that it could be a test of 1.1250
(MA25, MA55 and MA250). In case of breaching this level, price will grow to 1.1280 (0.382Fib).

The EUR/USD bearish option will be active if 1.1200 is breached.
The next support will be at 1.1180 and further at 1.1130.

Just catch the signal

I'm long from 1.1206 with SL at 1.1170. TP: 1.1240.

I need to be clear that I'm not confident on this trade, but being that 1.1200 has done a good job (I believe it will give in later), I decided to see if I can see some upside where I'd sell. EU data coming out and looking at the previous and forecasts I expect green data. Maybe I'm being hopeful.

Reason: Dollar has limited room to rally because of looming rate cut cycle.

many apologies, I am certainly not questioning your intent to long from good support, I don't believe I have said that, what I was suggesting, trading a bounce at support is aka bottom picking, especially first touch, 2nd touch a possible long, 3rd touch if it even happens, longs would be under threat, my option / suggestion was patience and let the market show her intent, in the end the market will decide no matter what we think

Seems to be a discussion on whether EU has bottomed, at least temporarily, so here's my daily chart for what it's worth, showing that it is reacting to support, as it did earlier this month and in June. Whether it will lift from here remains to be seen, but if it does, then the red dash line is the level I would expect it to reach.

H4 Status Update and S/R Levels

  1. Nearest support is at 1.1203 area with additional backup until 1.1190..
  2. Nearest resistance and potential bull target starts at 1.1231 area and can go up to 1.1241 in extension but overall, as long as H1 candles close below 1.1241 this bull move could be a short-term trend (because the up move could still be the handle of a bearish cup&handle pattern or it could also be a corrective wave 4 which eventually would need a final wave 5 to the downside, just thinking out loud).
  3. However, for now, and based on current situation on H4, I keep buying dips..
