And on this day a birthday for Liz Mitchell, singer, from German vocal group Boney M, who had the 1978 UK No.1 & US No.30 single 'Rivers Of Babylon' and with more than 150 million records sold, they are one of the best-selling artists of all time. A great voice that carried the rest of the group, imo

Classic reggae song, and love the birthdays.



Boz played with the original Steve Miller Band (who was an old school mate) in the mid 60’s.

He had a solo album late 60’s (with Duane Allman playing on this particular song below), and with the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section backing the album.

Then there was a time in the 70’s when Boz had the world at his feet. Not really sure what happened with that.

Love to mostly listen to trap music and a bit of hip hop.. That gets you very high and making you feel on top of the world.. Also drop back to cools and country music when there is stagnation and drawdown lol

The birthday shouts are a great way to remember those who we may have forgotten about or not heard for a while. Today we have several birthdays, and the first one goes to Linda Ronstadt, who was born on this day in 1946. I had a huge crush on Linda when I was younger and I love her powerful voice. Linda is American singer who had the 1975 US No.1 single 'You're No Good', and the 1989 UK No.2 single with Aaron Neville, 'Don't Know Much' plus over 15 other US Top 40 hits. She has earned 11 Grammy Awards, three American Music Awards, two Academy of Country Music awards, an Emmy Award, and an ALMA Award. As far as I know she can no longer sing due to (I think) Parkinsons disease, and because most of the songs she sung were written by others, she doesn't get royalties and so lives a modest life these days
