I think a little more thought and investigation into median lines might benefit but I'll tackle this chart anyway as it really isn't such a dilemma.

The pink median line is really still developing with a poorly developed C pivot and for now it really isn't in play. The blue median line looks like it could've provided a decent trade as shown by the 2 red down arrows.

We must be cautious about letting the "lines" telling us when to trade rather than price.

Just want to say this thread is great and I'm a lurker of it, keep it up. I'm an equities trader but may switch to forex in the future. I like to use median lines in conjunction with volume profile. Will probably post some charts when I get around to it.

Thanks for this great thread. I have been using Median Lines for about a year, off and on, but got serious after watching a few of Tim Morge's videos. Now I am hooked!

Here is a live trade of MicroGC from this morning. I use tick charts. Note that in this case, the R:R aligned perfectly at 3:1 with anchor.

Thanks. But if you read this thread from the beginning you'll find that I actually reject frequency and "touches" as a viable median line method. These concepts are not really part of Andrews teachings. It's not to say they may not be used in some way but I think if you use frequency and touches then you're really trading trend lines or channels but not median lines.

However even though I don't use median lines the way you imply you are welcome to post charts with trade examples. I'm always willing to learn.

Update on earlier post on Micro Gold. I use the 34 EMA to confirm direction is correct. I got in too early on earlier trade where I labeled Original Pivot. I luckily made a few tics on that one but re-entered later and hit 3:1 target.
