As always first impressions are better but the strategy tester doesn't think so. Be careful.

DislikedFor sniper type trade selection, TrendDirection&Force does the job well. Can't find the mq4. edit - found nmc version {image} {image} {file} {file}Ignored
DislikedIs it really that difficult to stick to D1? Why do you need filters? To complicate stuff and lose money like the 95% losers? Something this simple and you are looking for indicators all over the place. If there is such a magic indicator that filters trades, why won’t everyone use it? Stop searching for HG indicators. All you need is the buy and sell zones. The rest is discretion, patience and money management. You don’t have an idea how easy my trading has been since R4M released the R4M BD ADR indi. It’s incredible how it picks buy and sell zones...Ignored
DislikedMy post #4440 refers. I wait for r4m verdict on this one post that I introduced the trenddirection&force indicator widely used in bo trading. If he thinks it's not appropriate to his purpose of his thread about spike trading, I will accept his decision and delete that post. My purpose of the last 4.posts is to show different ways to trade BD and ADR - it's up to each trader how he makes his choice. Stir creative juice that r4m and others may take on board. The "shifting" aspect of BD that generates the blue/magenta signal dots remains the main issue...Ignored
Disliked{quote} @bishipdotun -- it's okay. I'm not derailed. I have multiple monitors and machines in front of me. One is devoted strictly for development, another for browsing, etc. When developing I get really, really focused and bogged down in details. So, for me, it's a nice mental break to look away from the dev machine and see what's happening at FF and in this thread. And, as you know, I was super productive when all the BS with @George was going on. If you really want to get the dev work rolling faster then let's bring back @George and the boys....Ignored
Disliked{quote} Ok....ok... Trust me I like exploring as well. After several years of testing all sorts, I finally settled on reversal trading. I have burnt my fingers many times. Blew 3 accounts (just a few thousand $$). Last year I focused solely on Peaky & Slope indicators (from SHF) to time reversals. That marked a significant change in my trading results. My results improved seriously. I still have a test account running fully auto on SPB M15 from SHF with decent returns. I started looking at TMA during your running battle with the “Men” a few weeks...Ignored
QuoteDislikedSo I play around with Indis too but I test it well privately before throwing it out there to be sure people can take me seriously. That’s the minimum I expect from people too.
QuoteDislikedNext week, I will show that waiting for the daily candle to close above the midline provide more return than just closing when price pokes above the midline.
Disliked{quote} @bishopdotun -- perfect response -- thanks... {quote} YES !!!!! What a concept! {quote} Funny -- as we speak I am testing something very similar with the EA. I'm thinking that in version 1 there would be a choice of two exit rules: 1. Midline (i.e. default) 2. The opposite bandIgnored
Disliked{quote} @mixedbags -- are you suggesting that I now sound like @George? Wouldn't that be scary... Look it -- I have nothing against other time frames. The reason for sticking with D1 now is to allow us to finish something. On a public thread lots of people are experimenting and have good ideas -- which is fine. But I really, really, really want to complete something. And it would be impossible to complete if everyone is going in different tangents. We know for sure there is something special about D1. So, I wish to complete D1 first. Think...Ignored
DislikedEveryone should read this post by @dkrock. He has a tendency to delete them, so I wouldn't delay: https://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?p=12369150#post12369150Ignored
Disliked{quote} Thanks for the heads-up Yes, but I'm really suck in Maths nor do I have the programming skill. Hence, I catch in between the D1 or H4 spike not the top and bottom. I'm more visual hence handicap to indicator. Indicators that prove overtime to hit 98% no less.Ignored
Disliked{quote} @mixedbags -- not so much his strategy, but more his overall attitude and philosophy. I've read a number of his posts and they have had a positive effect on me -- they give me confidence. If you compare @dkrock's advice with @George's, then you'll know what I mean.Ignored
