@ Claudia. Some crazy movers today. Not a serious day at all.

2:45 Hamilton (Of all places) Blackstone Cliff in from 25/1 to 4/1 (though 7.0 on BF).
2:30 Brighton Aye Aye Skipper in from 25/1 to 8/1 (14.0 BF)

Just not posting so much now but just for you Lem - the morning Dax was okay. waiting for Dow but it is so nice outside !

I didn't trade the Dow. Mrs T and I were drinking tea and eating jam scones in the garden and enjoying the sunshine.
But I post the Dow in hind sight: A big "whip" kept one out of trading until just after 3:20pm , UK time. The Pivot above was then broken which is when one might enter a long ( avoiding an earlier long trade hitting the Pivot and bouncing down?) The whole price action prior to the long looks ( in hindsight ) like a triangle whereby an earlier long might have been taken at the circle?

Overall, I feel I might have had a couple of losers beforehand ( ignoring the whip as I have been known to do)-even Oldtraderman approach would have a couple of losers prior to 3:25pm. See now how a nice down move has set in
Testament to qualities of patience maybe.

Hello everyone.

Writing from sunny England. I found this thread trough Claudia, when I was searching for some break out system and she mentioned SSBO few times. Thank you Claudia.

I see Lem is here like at home. I like your style Lem.
I would like to join you guys. Seems like group of people here.
I have been trading several different strategies in the past and for now I settled with SSBO on three pairs. I gave up on HoLo and 1-2-3. Didn't worked for me.

I also started learning about Lem scalping with ema 20 and ichi thunder and lightning.

Lem are you using only lightning setup 7-12-15 without thunder?

Ducked in for a look at the end-of-session moves. The DAX looked a little dicey, though some lovely easy moves earlier.

The US30 was ditto on the earlier session run but I felt this still had a little bit of energy left to run with. Turns out that was true.

Hiya buddy, good to see you here. Sorry to hear HOLO and 1-2-3 didn't work out but hey, good that you ended up here.

We do our own thing here but you will find that at the heart of it all, we do share a core philosophy. KISS and trade what you see, not what you think.

We also don't particularly care what everybody else out there is doing or thinking. We do our own thing here in the boondocks and happy to keep it that way.

Anyway, as for your question, when I am scalping down on the 1-min or tick-charts, yes, I tend to use the Lightning Kumo on its own, only adding the Thunder if I move up the time frames.

However, if you are using the Thunder & Lightning method in its purest form, then you would be using Heiken Ashi candles as well, not ''normal'' ones. I instead use the HA candles to give a directional bias and they can also be used to give an exit signal, however I prefer to enter trades using non HA.

Hello C and welcome. ask questions, post ideas, methods. Just chat.

Like Lem says, Keep it simple. I trade break out on specific candles and use Frequency distribution to aid my trades, You cannot argue with stats/maths.
I am good at fixing bad trades.
So trade well
