You got this info from watching Anton Kreil videos on youtube. The strategy works, you just have to learn it and apply it. If it does not work for you, than you either did not get it, or it's just not for you. Look for other strategy. I personally trade supply/demand strategy a lot, for years, and from my experience it is the best strategy, especially on 4 hour time frame and up. As for MArket maker method, it works good too on day trading.

But I think you were in my main thread - so you know that already.

When I first found him, 'Ray de Medici' was working for a Prop Desk firm contracted to Deutsche Bank (back in 2014).
Currently the firm is contracted to a major Japanese Investment Bank with a European office in Luxembourg.
So he now commute between Glasgow and Luxembourg, when before he only had to commute between Glasgow and London.

The guy is only partly right, but you may well be wasting your time!
Steve Mauro's Market Maker Method works for an extremely small number of traders.
- Usually the ones who are already profitable and so just make some tweaks to the method they are already using such as 'Mr Carlsberg' - probably the best retail trader in the world. He took the course and made use of a little of it, but he no longer uses any of it because he has spent 5 yrs learning the real way that the markets work from Ray - who is still employed by the big institutions, not an ex-employee of them like Anton Kreil (who is really just a trader of stocks, not FX or Futures etc.)

I did not read the thread. I was just there to share my charts. I looked up Ray can't seem to find nothing much. Does he have a website or anything?

I just checked CompassFX website. Looking at video indexes, nothing new. Same as other educational retail mentors. There is pivots, fibonacci, divergence and so on. I do not believe Ray worked as a bank trader. Maybe I am wrong but to me the website looks exactly like all the other educational forex websites. Nothing special nothing different.

I also noticed you mentioned Anton Kreil. Well Anton Kreil provided a website where everyone can see if he worked for institutional trading firm, and he did. Same with Lex Van Dam. From my experience those are the two so far legit traders that worked for financial institutions. As for Ray, can't find anything.

There are many legit ex-institutional traders who were only Order-takers, so happy to take the bonus for beating VWAP.
I don't know what Lex van Dam traded, but Anton Kreil traded stocks and is well known for saying that it was impossible to make money trading currencies, that they were just a lottery. Why would any Spot FX or Currency Futures trader want to learn from him.

My members who have done an Anton Kreil course say that the vast majority of it is using spreadsheets - that is about as far removed as possible from what people on Forex Factory do.

Anton Kreil himself said that it is almost impossible for anybody in retail can get to see the track record of institutional traders while they are working in the Institutional Space. Ray is very aware that if his name was all over the internet it would really annoy his institutional employers. He is a very private person and of course his name may not actually be Ray de Medici (it really doesn't matter who he is, because of WHAT HE IS) - just like the most successful of his recent interns 'Ronaldo' who went from Sales, to Trader with Deutsche Bank. His name isn't really Ronaldo, he just has hair like Ronaldo.

You must have been looking at the wrong part of the CompassFX website if you saw Fibonacci because Ray gets angry when his students us actual Fibs. Ray only uses 'measured moves' ( the 2.0 and the 0.5 are not Fibonacci numbers). Compass have promoted several different traders and styles before Ray contacted them so amongst others they have videos and indicators from Dean Malone ( writer of the popular MT4 indicator called 'FXSynergy'). 2 short videos which show how different he is include : 01-08-19 Market Snippet - Global Investments: showing one way that currency pairs and global investments are valued. (There are 2 other major ways of determining 'Value' for a currency pair).
and 01-02-19 Snippet Value: Where he shows the concepts of Guaranteed Premiums (to Sell) and Guaranteed Discounts (to buy).

Just glanced at the website you provided, glanced through the videos. From what i see, nothing special. It's all history charts. I did not see any live trading. Just like all the others educators. Maybe you seen something different with Ray, but I did not. I am trading supply/demand strategy. It works great and never let me down. The probabilities of trades are amazing. If you look for fresh zones you will get it most of the time. Learning from Sam Seiden who worked as a trader on Chicago Mercantile Exchange, not taking orders, but actually trading, he learned about supply/demand strategy. From my experience, NOT opinion, I am saying experience, supply/demand is the way to go.

Did you actually watch those 2 videos I mentioned? They are only about 7 minutes long.

As for live trading, Ray works for an Investment Bank, so he is not allowed to call live trades ( so we can't either compete with or 'front-run them' ). However he can show how he will trade in the future - his Tweets often predict a trade at the Frankfurt or London Ope and with the Tweet being sent at at between midnight and 2am London time.

You mention Sam Seiden, I followed him for years, but he just doesn't 'get Value'. I never heard Sam Seiden talk about being a 'local' on the Chicago Mercantile, just an Order Taker - he talked about his pile of Buy orders and his pile of Sell Orders he had been given. CompassFX have another current offering called 'Peak Experience' with Mark Coe and he too refuses to use Value and just cling to his Bloomberg version of Tom de Mark indicators.

You say that you get amazing win probabilities with Supply/Demand, but what do you call amazing? I am Not one of Ray's better students (if I was an intern he would sack me) but my win% per trade is well over 90% (around 75 to 80% per trade unit).

Supply/Demand is OK so far as it goes, but is just one piece of the puzzle. You also need Order Flow, Sentiment and Value as well as understanding how the major players trade. Otherwise you may be crushed when the big commercials are accumulating (shorts say), they will sell some (which drives price lower, then buy a little to keep price high for their next sell etc for hours or even days, since it takes then so long to get their required size on - they must find Buyers at higher prices. Knowing where Value is can give you the confidence to keep 'working' the short trade when the Orderflow is favourable.

Ray, just another educator like many others. There is nothing special that he is showing. Just bunch of spaghetti indicators all over charts, with volumes that don't work in forex and talking while looking at the past history on charts. That's it!

Sam Seiden worked for Chicago Mercantile Exchange and was not only taking orders, he was a trader. Supply/demand strategy is not just OK it is a very good strategy, one of the best strategies especially for retail traders, approaching forex trading professionally. When it comes to supply/demand strategy, either on short term time frames or long, that is where you look for order flows and you enter buy/sell, placing stop loss and take profit. Always placing stop loss, if a trader doesn't, they are setting themselves up for failure and they will fail sooner then later. That's it. Everything else is just unnecessary philosophy and that is all there is to it. People tend to over philosophy trading meanwhile it can get a bit more simple by learning the basics and applying it on charts and practice until you find a strategy that works best for you and brings you income every month. In this case I find supply/demand strategy to be the best, as I did try other strategies and non compare the results to supply/demand strategy, because that is how professional traders do it.

Economy works on two things: supply/demand, same with trading, forex, stocks and other securities. That is all there is to it. But to get there, you have to practice, practice, practice, practice and again practice. It is an un-going education. Other things are just there to waste time and words. That is it. Ray talks about the strategy and showing charts, for hours and at the end, there is nothing to it. Nothing much just like any other educators. So far I can't find anything on Ray that he works for the bank, so I am going to take it as he is lying about that and is just another educator trying to make extra money, by teaching nonsense to other traders and that is all. Trade safe.

You are wrong about Volume.

You are wrong about the economy. This isn't like selling fruit off a market stall !

You are wrong about Professional Traders using just Supply and Demand, some do, but many don't even use a chart at all!

Supply/Demand only works when Sentiment and Value etc. is in its favour - that is why with what look like identical trades one will work yet another will fail. Somebody can be successful with just Supply/Demand, or just VSA (Volume Spread Analysis), of with just Fundamentals. But you have to be a real master of it to make much of a profit, compared to being merely good at all those plus knowing the Business Models of the major market participants and then it is much easier plus you make more profit. No person in their right mind would suggest that in other professions having fewer skills or ignoring relevant data would be the road to success - so why should it be so in trading? - LOL !

You are wrong about Ray. I suggested you watch two videos of about 6 minutes each and you couldn't even manage to do that! Instead you talk about hours of videos and charts. Well yes there are, because as you tried to say it should be an on-going education, except you can't have an on-going education about just Supply and Demand - it only takes a few minutes to grasp and a few hours to get the hang of it. Then a few days to realise that there is more to trading than that because there is something missing. - LOL !
If Ray was not what he claims, why would a successful Trading Instructor of a successful set of courses, who is probably the best retail trader in the world spend 5 yrs coming back to Ray's courses? Why would ex-bank traders like Jay M. And Mike R. attend his courses (more than once)? Why would one of his youngest students ( Nic L.) get a job at an agriculturals trading firm and impress them by not only already knowing so much of what they teach their new hires, but be able to use correlations and techniques previously unknown to even their top traders?

You may not know that both Steve Mauro and his original sidekick Zen were both instructors at OTA ( Steve Seidel's training firm). And according one student who followed them to Beat The Market Maker, on the first day of the class Steve Mauro told the students pt put the course manual to the waste basket - because that was where it belonged. - Even Steve Mauro knew there was more to trading than just Supply and Demand.

I will not stretch this as it is streched enough. No you are wrong. I do not agree what you say. I am not wrong. This does not come from me, but from economists and other financial analysts. It's how economy runs. You need to go and learn a lot more about economy. I do not care what Steve knew, it has nothing to do with me. I do not apply his strategy, even though it does work, but i use supply/demand strategy where the order flow are accumulating. No you are wrong on how supply/demand works. Has nothing to do with sentiment. Totally wrong there. Supply/demand is the best way to trade especially for retail traders. Steve Mauro was never instructor at OTA, if he claims he was, he is lying. Sam Seiden is instructor at OTA, but he does put videos on youtube through the FXStreet. But Sam did not invent supply/demand strategy. It was around way before him. Of course Steve is going to say that, he is selling his own course, he does not want new students learning about supply/demand strategy that works great. He wants to prove his MM strategy. As for volume, absolutely has nothing to do with forex, especially when you are retail trader, it will not help at all. The chart is the way to go, that is where data is and everything else gets data from the charts, that being said indicator. I am speaking from experience when it comes to supply/demand strategy. I am very successful at it, and I would recommend to anyone. As for Ray, from what i see on his videos, just another educator. Jay M, Mike R. all those fake people with fake names, that is all BS talk nothing else. Also you said why would someone comeback to Ray for 5 years? Very simple answer, Ray's trading strategy is BS and the student that keeps coming back to him for 5 years and spending money on nonsense, can't seem to figure out that Ray's strategy does not work. Problem solved. That's it. Either way I am leaving this page, as there is nothing going on. Trade safe.

There are some people that it is impossible to help.

There have been many serious studies into Volume comparisons between SpotFX and Currency Futures, going back to the early years of this century.
All have shown that it is highly correlated.

Hi Folks

Is there an indicator (mt4) that can alert if the broker is widening the spread? e.g. say the typical spread on EU is 2 pips, when the MM widens the spread to 3+ pips the indicator will pop up the alert on a screen. I would like to use that, when price approaches the high of the day/session.

Techanalyst...what makes you think i got the Goldman sachs info/screenshot examples from youtube AND not from the course lessons that i Personally took from Anton Kreil himself,as he DOES provide teachings to the retail sector???

Being in the game as long as i have up to today,i without a doubt clearly know that there are a lot of ways of doing things out there,and being good at something ("trading supply and demand" for starters) doesn't mean there aren't many other succesful approaches of doing it.It also doesn't mean that there aren't many other succesful people in a similar field using different tactics/approaches,that are far way more succesful than you.
