Disliked"i realize it's much too personal to share materialism shit on a trading forum" "the question is do I want to share that journey to that goal, and if so, what's the best format?" "i don't really give a shit about trading discussions" "i'm at a point where trading forums is getting boring. I visit other threads and read the same old boring bullshit" "I already know how to trade, everything that i need to work on is just discipline and consistency ." 5 sentences. sums up generally what there is about to say. all have been discussed too. missed a point...Ignored
Dislikedthis one re-posted here, as per the request of J-F<<<<<<<<<< Hilmy83, Not sure what I think is important (I am sure of the reverse actually!!), but you are one of the very few here that sounds like the “real sh*t”. The way you have done today, with just a reminder of yesterday, and the chart of today seems perfect to me. The chart is very complete with clear entry / exit and even number of trades, ticks and PL of the day on the top corner. Once a month, a recap of the month "calendar style" is perfect if we are too lazyyyy to do it on our...

DislikedSo i've decided to end this journal at the end of this month. This journal was fun while it lasted. I hope that it was fun for those who read it. I felt like I have fulfilled this journal's aim of showing the possibilities when it comes to trading with all the fun things along the way. At times, trading profits can truly be life changing. But I wanted to move on and focus on a different goal. I will start with a new thread which will be 100% focused on trading NQ with the aim of pursuing the CME membership. The format/rules of that journal will...Ignored
Disliked{quote} I am not sure I understand your fascination with CME membership but regardless, my personal thanks for sharing your trading journey with complete transparency. You are the first and most likely the last one who will have the balls to share the realities involved in trading. Good luck in meeting your goal! p.s. There is no such thing as "privacy" on forums. Even threads in recycle bin are searchable. Maintaining a thread is hard work in this swamp lolIgnored
Disliked{quote} .instead of paying $2.36 exchange fee RT, you'll pay $0.70 RT this is currently what i pay with amp 2.36 cme 1.00 amp clearing .2 cqg routing .04 nfa =3.6 RT with membership .70 cme 1.00 amp clearing .2 cqg routing nfa exempted =1.9 RT that's 52% savings per contract. you'll pay $2000 one time application fee + around $300/month leasing. I think data is about $80/month i believe for a pro status. just need to trade over $380/month in comm, everything after that is essentially half off..my comm even around 30k hits +$1500 But I plan to trade...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Makes sense. I have not been successful with finding positive expectancy with just one trade at a time with one contract. All my algos have failed sticking with this basic rule. Curious if you have analyzed your stats to see the effects of just one trade at a time to your strategies? I think it would be a worthwhile exercise.Ignored
Disliked{quote} vee, a strategy with edge always works with one trade at a time. using a grid improves profitability and smoothes the equity curve. if a strategy does not work with one trade, than it does not have an edge. just like multiple exit methods. try the rmi strategy by cubbybgood, it works with one trade only.Ignored

Disliked{quote} You said the golden phrase that I have been saying all along.... "if a strategy does not work with one trade, than it does not have an edge." That is the primary reason why I have decided to stick with the "only one trade at a time" rule in all my strategies so far and have yet to discover so called "raw edge". NQ is completely different beast than any FX pair but I am willing to give anything and everything an attempt. Nothing goes untested is my renewed and re-energized attitude. Even your ORB on UJ is something I was thinking and visualizing...Ignored
Disliked{quote} one thing to add, the strategy that satisfies ones goals does not exists. you need to use diversification of few strategies to smooth the curveIgnored
Dislikedyou don't want to see me tilt haha. My previous journal in the bin now can show you what tilt really means. I'll respond to you and hopefully enough people will read before i delete it. first of all, if you bother to read the first post, you understand what i'm trying to do here. I wanted to make one last thread that is pure trading/stats related. No bullshit conversation about forums, life, family, health, religion, etc etc, no praises, no disses, preferably no interaction. Yea, that would be nice. Just don't post in here..leave me to my dark thoughts...Ignored
Disliked... while i trade. That would be most ideal. I haven't even post my first week yet, and there's conversation about forums... you might ask, why even bother starting a thread in a public forum. Cause i fucking can...any other questions? Been here over 10 years, and frankly i pretty much have seen and heard everything. It's all about execution and discipline now. It's just me executing this last plan that I have. If i fail, this thread is done. If i succeed, this thread is done. Nothing else but to share this one last effort.Ignored
