I love fundamentals too... But the profit orientation of the MM is of more concern... Being with a trend against MM is like taking a bait ....

Note...please do not swing trade baskets. . Just pick a pair ortwo. . And let the swing play out. . Basket trades are more profitable for day trading . .. Only take a full basket when you really know what you are doing.. .

There is really a lot to explore with strength trading coupled with price action... And volume analysis (Reading MM footprints)....

I am a swing trader because I am still a student ...with assessments and lectures ... I only have weekends to do due analysis. ...

great idea dashking,i am following your price action swing method but still have many questions.

Yes. . We can long GBP USD ...

But you have to follow the rule completely....
Time of entry should be at the beginning of the week....

We enter new swings at the beginning of the week .. .
It's already Friday.... You can't take a swing trade now... Remember we enter a trade usually more than a day but less than a week. .

But you have to keep in mind how the strength closes today ...
At least you would already have a bias of swing direction for next week.. .

We look forward to longing gbpusd...

And when you look at price action too you would know that Gpb has hit a good demand zone and is due to reverse... .
But
Just sit on hands and wait for more signs of trend exhaustion on GBP. ..

Monday would be a good time to make trading decisions


Though fundamentals have actually contributed to this huge sell off of gbp ... Like Erebus has earlier highlighted...

But market conditions can still continue next week .. In such case trade what you see. . ! On charts and the readings of the strength meter...

Actually ... It was a trade I took based on the analysis and the bias of the previous weeks close.. . Based on the strength reading. .. Jpy was all strong at the previous week .. I read the price action and volume activity and saw signs of exhaustion.. .
I have worked with this system for a while i just tried tweaking to see if I could carry over analysis from previous weeks close...

In my opinion should be mandatory have a filter to enter position plus the CSM indis.Some price action, volume, or other combined indis.I do it this way and keep profitable.Going solely blindly per strenght filter could head to a very bad week (last one), buying gbp pairs,..or auds..But with filtering some bounces would be matched.i am using this in short timeframes, being very strict on my entries, first looking strenght/weakness,..and then finding points to enter that direction based on other things.

Agree, this is the way I would trade strong vs weak, with some confimation of the move, as I show in this post 92

He did escape from the JPY last week, draw-down was 10 or 12% and came back to get 1 or 2% only

@ Erebus, for the trend i use an indicator i found on this forum. The name is "ma in color".
I use on my template 2 LWMM. First is a 500 LWMM and second is a 30 LWMM.
LWMM 500 give me the strong trend and LWMM the intermediate trend.
I mixed the mm info with CSM and found good info for me.
Also lwmm 500 and 30 give good info on very small time frame
Have a look if it is for you too
