So if here is some interest to test an EA of this very interesting strategy on first sight....
I would look if it is codeable and maybe become D-Princess...

I'm sure that by now, you have had a look at the code of the strength indicator of SwingMan, smStrengthRange09 v4.1?

I'm guessing it would be easy to base an EA to buy and sell on the cross over points?

But what extra filters would be used?

Can an EA recognize Price Action as a human can?

Which broker?

Is there a suffix or prefix?

Did you try all pairs?

Did you try switch time frames?

Did you try download more data for the pairs?

Hard to fix problems with no details

Erebus thanks for the reply. Yes my broker is XM and is suffix micro but i dont see any settings for prefix/suffix. Yes i downloaded more date and switch to timeframes but still no luck.

hello ....legend swing traders ... lets see what the strength reading has to give us for the week''''' it seem to be like mashed spaghetti this morning""
but like i said... going by the strength meter and not regarding price action would be like trading blindly... from last week we would see the weakest and the strongest currencies being the AUD and GBP..would they still maintain those states for these week after all the profit runs for last week? . if you observe well they are already reversed on the strength meter....(gbp being the weakest and aud and nzd having the highest strength).... these are one of the major things i consider to know we when reversals are due...
preferably i would always like to buy the weakest... now what pairs are we going to swing? lets observe together

mario just as Erebus has said the strength meter doesnt work on pairs with suffix or prefix... or other charts like gold and the likes.... just kindly contact swingman...

the market cycle is another thing to consider....

i have a request i need ... an indicator that would help as a 'weekly period separator' on the 1 hour time frame just to make my charts cleaner... anyone with such should please share

Big gaps everywhere. So may be a good idea to let the markets run for a while. Anyway due to indicator we can expect AUDJPY possible flip north? I really like the ideas with curency meters.

I was just going to post about that, big gaps and the GBP had huge surge on Friday...

I'm more of a trend trader, so I'm prepared to wait to see if these can be total reversal of trend as in the AUDJPY

For me, I think not, there is AUD interest rate news tomorrow, so the higher the retracement, the better price for me to sell

When the trend resumes down, of course, and showing on strength meter

For now, I'm an observer, as Dashking said, too much spaghetti lines

Am actually waiting too... No trades yet better late than too early. .. Though there is an understanding of gaps I have had of late...i would share.. . .sometimes Monday's are used majorly for consolidations... Slow market. . With a lot of fake signals .. MM looking for naive traders to wash...

Coding the crossover is no problem...also price action...the problem is only that for example the decision what a pinbar or a trend up is has to be put in rules...coding these rules is like tie the shoelaces....
The problem is obvious in the davit pivot thread....talking about the complete rules is like catching fire with hands...

Finally with this last affirmation i can propose a theory on gapped markets... from observation so far.... i didn't take yesterdays trade because i have not had too much encounters with gapped market... though i have been observing... but i think yesterday into today makes it all clear now... i can actually propose a theory...that would help complete my decision check list in future swing trades....
i beckon on other traders to check this out and bring me occasions that are contrary... at least we all can learn together.....
now this is my observation....
whenever there is a gapped market... especially when market has been trending in a certain direction for a long time.... any gap in direction of that trend is a reversal gap... MM gapping prices higher... in an already established up trending market (to get better points to place their sell orders) and they gap markets lower to get better buying levels for their buy entries (in down trends)...before turning prices north or south...
i was actually thinking to myself... why such huge volume at the end of the trend... when market has been running all the while... that trader must be a big loser.. but really are MM losers?.. they are just buying at the lowest low and selling at the highest high...
you know the market is kinda rigged from what i have observed so far.... some big brains are there whacking out traders who think its just an up and down random movement of price...
and final tip do you observe the gaps relative to psychological levels of whole numbers?

well well if we had sailed the aud pairs... buy all aud/x and selling x/aud we would have hit our 50 pips target by now.... like i said i would always like to buy the weakest pair... of cause the strongest too would be a part of the basket...

right now i feel so late joining any of those trends... i think more than anything i have learnt this week a knowledge that would profit me for weeks to come...
i hope we are all learning something here?

And I noticed something about news impact on trades... Somehow . . The content are already on the charts before the release. .. Like the aud news release of yesterday.. . There seem to be a pre-plan on those charts before the actual news took place. ..(there is actually a preparation on charts before major high impact news release) When you understand market behavior I think .. News release is a great fast means of harvesting profit from this market. ..
