Exactly, have been attempting to blow this account for about a month now. I am very interested in knowing how quick all 28 pairs can go south on you, so I open some of my demos up for failure. With some systems averaging down is the worst possible idea, I like to test for my self what the worst case scenarios are. With a proper account size for the number of pairs being played 11 Marty levels will not be an issue. Though I am still not sure what is going on between marty levels 8 and 11, they seem to skip levels over 9.

On my Monday trades I had the marty levels at 1, through the day I noticed some of them not taking the needed trades to be in profit when they turned around. So out of boredom I switched back to .5 and .3. Needless to say one day of testing is not enough.

Found another little hiccup, if you have a new marty trade open and accidentally change the time frame on that open pair MT4 hates you. Not really an issue, just something my fat finger found out this morning.

I think this current setup on H1 from today also supports the above which provided 3500 pips DD equivalent on a single pair and 10000 across the 28 pairs. Still analysing and trying to understand the workings of Cycle Trader v3 along with martingale logic but guessing ways to avoid this sort of outcome would be:

a) Increase ATR_Multiplier several fold (2 or more)
b) Reduce Max_Adds_To_Trade (5 or less)
c) Set Add_To_Trade to false
d) Apply DB SL x ADR and/or Basket SL

Still not applying any DB SL/TP/EL controls to these trades as yet and trying to get to grips with the potential magnitude of our outcomes on various timeframes.

OK so far this week, did have a little screw up on my part. The first day I forgot to turn on the 24 hour trade button at noon and I missed out on trades during a 8 hour period sfter that but it didn't seem to bother it. You do get some DD periods when a few pairs may not hit the exact turning point, but that is to be expected and they do recover. These trades are on the M15 chart. A 2.5 to 1 ratio so far, over 1000 pips if I would shut it down right now, but will leave it run the rest of the week and see what happens.

Here is a trade that is still open that took all 9 add to trades and is still open.
It is up over 800 pips so far with the add ons. Without add ons active it would only be up around 8 pips and the DD would have been around 20 pips.

Hi Eugene,

I have noticed on a few charts that the Add-Ons sometimes dont space properly and at the right levels. I am trading a 0.01 lot with Marty to 6 add-ons and typically they will be 0.01, 0.02, 0.03, 0.04, 0.05 etc

You will see in the attached chart, it opened 4 trades at the same time with next to no space and one of the trades are 0.01, 0.03, 0.05 & 0.06. I noticed this last night and seems to be when the pair has changed direction, closes the previous trades in TP and then opens new trades in the new direction.

AUDJPY went 0.01 then 0.06. I have also noticed that there is no add-on lines on the screen either.

Here are a few of my setups running on BST time with default settings of Cycle Trader v3 on H4, H1 and M15. So far M15 is achieving highest number of pips for potential take away on daily setups (1900) also with some drastic DD on H1 (10000) for instance. As I am finding time and over again entry time makes all the difference to EQ/DD ratios (prior to take profit) as can be seen from the M15 results. Just to bear in mind there are no SL/TP/EL settings applied to DB as yet.

The is another choice, introduce some Signal_Candle wait states, I like to use at least 1 myself on most my test charts. This has a big influence on the dynamics of when CyclcV3 takes the swing trade.

Of course thanks for that; just wondering if you are using Signal_Candle > 0 across all TFs? I have had a setup on H4 with signal = 1 from last night trying to see if this could slow down and reduce DD significantly; please see attached which was closed perhaps too early.

I had signal=1 of my 1hr test yesterday Cycle(4,1) and a (3,2), I did not have a (3,1) for 1hr running, but it shows a slowing of trades taken. My (3,2) I had my SL set too tight I believe so I had one TP hit and then 2 SL hits (this was also not a normal setup for me I normally do 1 n done)

My 15m I changed the settings a few times looking for some setup behaving more to my liking, but they were all disastrous. I will try again today with (3,2) and ATR_multiplier set to 1.5

My 4hr (4,1) was much the same as yours.

That is an ideal trade, however if the trade continues to go against you then you can be in for some massive DDs like GBPUSD today if you trade continued from midway you would still have a massive DD (there are breaks in mine due to experiments with SL):

If we consider ATR_multiplier 0.5 is optimal for 1hr charts, then to equate 15m charts levels to the 1hr chart levels we would need 1.5 or 2 multiplier. Conversely, the 4hr hourly chart would be smaller multiplier, probably around 0.25.

Just some thoughts...

I'm bit confused on how CycleV3 calculates the AddOn levels (i'm using 2.0x Multiplier), for example AUDCAD addons look normal, (BTW the Red SL line is 3.0XADR):

Could you please elaborate on what ATR value is used and how the AddOn levels are calculated?

Update: Ignore my second chart, I reloaded the chart and now it looks correct... I forgot to reload charts after changing to 15m TF with an active trade.

My 1HR setup failed overnight.
I have now changed the TS to default however have increased the ATR multiplier to 2.
Undecided if I should keep the DB timer / TP going or not.
I'll let it play out the rest of the week I think and decide after that.

Actually they were started after NZ red news on the Tokyo open.
