7860 was reached and even exceeded.

I am poking my nose out this morning with a short position from 7870. SL @ 7876. TP open.

Covered @ 7865 for +20 ticks.

Thursday is on!

I will be looking for selling opportunities into NQ today from around 7822.

Grabbed +20 ticks, long from 7808.25 to 7813.25.

Notice that we are moving in a broadening top price pattern with yesterday being a bearish engulfing day. So we could see the market spike higher after the bell, only to drop lower afterward. That's my game plan at least for today :-)

And there is the spike.... pre-bell.

Trying to suck in buyers. Today should be interesting.

Status is I have 3 trades, 3 wins with +66 ticks so no reason to push it.

7855 could also be interesting to poke out stops.

Like clock-work.

Covering my shorts around 7770.

Would like sell again around 7796, but we'll see.

So a few comments on Friday afternoon and evening. Overall, I had a good profitable day but missed a couple of opportunities along the way. Pre-bell I was long. Could have gotten waaay more from that bullish move. Bell rings and NQ starts selling off. I am selling into 7800 as stops would be placed below. Nice momentum. I had the 7770 zone marked out earlier as my preferred take profit area. A pad on my shoulder for that target.

After the bounce, I missed a long entry as I was mentally biased short-only at this point. Hindsight is always 20-20. I was waiting for a pullback and a new short entry from around the 7795 area, but it never came. Could have bought back again on the first break back above 7800 but I was away from the station at this point. Came back later and missed another long from 7810 area. Eventually jumped long from 7823 for a late session gain.

Friday closed quite bullish and weekly chart is closing above last double swing high back from the start of August and the start of October. The trend remains up for the time being and as I have said many times over in the last weeks or so, I prefer buying dips but I will not shy away from selling with momentum. It will be a couple of very interesting sessions ahead.

Picking up an early long from around 7845. TP zone is 7870. SL @ 7842.

So far so good.

The market needs to break firmly above 7852-7855 zone before I will move my SL to b/e.

A few minutes later...

Out in 7853 for +32 ticks.

Could be premature exit, but a profit is a profit.

Short @ 7851. SL @ 7856. TP open.

Closed at b/e.

Time for a break until the bell rings...

Bummer, the short trade from 7851 would have worked out beautifully.

Oh well... next trade, please.

Made a whopping +$75 today.
I had only a 50% win rate on a tight day with little room to play in.
Kind of annoying, but tomorrow is another day.

Some heavy unloading happened last night just before the close.

Reducing exposure ahead of FOMC tomorrow is my guess.

I have a long position this morning from 7800 with a target of 7808.

Otherwise, not much is going on...

Manual close @ 7807,50 for +30 ticks.

Just taking what the market can offer these days...

Long @ 7803.

SL @ 7801.50.

Let's see if this works.

SL moved to b/e.

Might cover @ 7810 if there is no follow through...
