I was just coming to the thread and looking at the book trying to establish this as a diamond in a downtrend that has broken to the upside. i'm looking at volumes as well and i see we are due for a breakout most likely to the upside based on daily and weekly candles.

Coding line chart alert...

Hello, i´ve been trading for some time now, and its taken me a lot to realize i just need a line chart, no candles, no bars, no renko... Just 4hrs. Line charts, it has the close only but its pretty much what i really nead (i know some of you might disagree) any way i´ve ben having good results but cant be checking screen all times so could anyone please code an indicator alert that pops and sounds when "price line" cross a SMA...


my set up is just

4 hrs. line chart
30 SMA.

thank you very much... i actually tried building it myself but cant get it to work properly,,, its like


pretty much based on andoseg strategy... but line graph is just easy to read for me...

And yet another thread wich potentially turn into trash like every thread here on forexfactory. Ofc, they are trash since first post, but I will not let this thread turn into garbage by everyone who think they can make everything into "SIMPLE" !

You guyz must understand : follow the rules or quit. There is no place for adapting, modifying, adding indicator, making settings or any other adjustment. You cannot and will never make the rules work better than they are and you cannot make what it appear to you sophisticated into simple regarding this technique.
As I said, this is a basic foundation wich can be used for developing further trading strategy. If you intervene with modifications to basic foundation of a house, it will collapse!

Learn the rules, train hard and achieve results. Accept it as it is or leave.

Nobody here said trading is easy nor this trading technique. He who say that is a noob and have no ideea about trading profitable.


Heck, I am trading I'm not gambling!
If you are looking for gambling techniques wich are SIMPLE, ForexFactory is full outta there.

Trading is HARD, in trading win those with more knowledge. Simple as that!

stumbled on the links to this thread only a week ago; described principles make a lot of sense as a foundation for a strategy.
Worked well with gold for the last days, giving a couple of good scalping setups.
