one thing about analist, especially from big banks. You will read news saying they are short or long. What they dont say is, they may have hundreds of analist/traders . Each trader for the bank is trading his/her own book. Like in 2008 Goldman analyst were calling for 200 a barrel oil. While most of their traders were selling. Their analist were calling for buying, screwing their clients. The same with gold etc..

Yes... might be. But the real lift off will be later in some 4-6 month. Look at the article about dollar volatility... the low volatility phase in 1996 and 2014 - both which preceded a USD run - looked different to the one in 2007 and the one that is forming now... In 2007 the USD dropped and the EUR shoot up from 1.20 to 1.36 and above.
A look at the monthly chart will sharpen the perspective...

Might want to push higher.. 1345 ish and 1360 ish.. above this it could spike through 1.14...

I still keep my shorts and add higher up. Closed the long today cause of swap... may re enter lower down if i get a good entry to continue hedging... waiting for 1175 break.. bearish butterfly still valid up to 1345...

usdx day closing above 97.03 leans bullish off support, but eu needs to be below 1260 on close.. a mixture is inconclusive.

atm usd is at 97.01, the bear side. at the same time usd is above 1260. if this remains true at close. its a good chance 132x eu will be tested, and maybe broken.

it still amazes me how Gator sees these levels far in advance.... we need a break below 1.1270 really to start seeing bear strength - otherwise it can keep going up in this channel
