ERUUSD with 111 222
USDJPY with 333 444
GBPUSD with 555 666
During my testing, I found that EA opening positions and strategies are a bit conflicting.
Not exactly as described in the first article of "MichaelSch"

Michael do you let the ea trade ? or do you trade by yourself? Beause i have backtestet the Ea and i always loose in longterm of around 10 years. But i haven´t the feature that the ea closes everything after 5 Bucks profit or so. Because then after a few trades it doesnt take any trades. Im not a programmer so only changed the settings a bit.

I do trade this manual, next step is to fix a vps server and let the EA do the work.

When mkt is moving I don't think lot of good traders have a problem. But it moves only 20% of the time. The rest of the time it is chopy. And also when the cur pairs that have the strongest trends in the mid of the day turn turtle. Here is the problem. How do you tackle that so easily without a grid. Thanks and

Have you read this thread here? I have no problem using this strategy and make money with it. You are another one who want to say me, that this system makes problems, but i have no. Seems you have never trade this and jump here in to shout only, without show trading results. Only by thinking this and that will never be work, will ever sitting in your brain, never will be make results good or bad. So i set you to ignore also. Hope the next who will tell me, that will not work, will show me results doing my system as i gave it.

Hey michael i will try the grid trading thing because it would be nice to find a strategy that doesnt take so much time to trade

have you tested this on other pairs than eurusd now?

EURUSD and the negative correlated pair usdchf as the user lghr suggest earlier in thread.

I wonder what would be the advantage of a similar to EU moving pair? If I were to take on the added risk of trading the chf it would be with EURCHF which is less trending, generating more profits.

You have the option to search this thread. Only by typing usdchf i found the post from user lghr, if you make the work to read his posts, you get the answer.

Thank you for the warning. I have read the thread and that post and still wondering, Yes, USDCHF moves the other way but as I see it, that is of no advantage here since we both sell and buy. EURCHF however moves more in ranges and that would be an advantage or not?
Until the SNB pull out another trick of course...

Hi,

I had been testing this strategy using the EA that has been provided. Following is my analysis which may help someone:

- Opened GBPJPY buy and sell
- Buy took profit, opened again in both directions.
- came to a point that we had 5 buys opened and closed at tp
- we got a retrace of 20 pips, last sell closed with tp
- EA did not close the first sell (which is the furthest negative trade) even though profits were made due to 5 buys and one sell closed in profit.
- But it closed the last buy, because EA considers BUY as one grid and SELL as another grid. So will only close Buy since it had enough profits for the buy grid to close the negative position for the buy. All sell positions are in red.

My understanding of the strategy was that we close the furthest negative position irrespective of the direction. Please do not use the EA as it seems to be flawed. If the EA's source is shared I can modify it since I am a IT developer by profession.

Correct me if I am wrong.

This is probably due to different magic numbers for buy and sell grids. Did you try using the same magic number for buy and sell grids?
