That's a good question, which I don't know how to answer yet. But I can guess why he chose that level.

Because of this. It might look completely random, but if you truly understand what I mean about scaling and order flow you will understand it. Scaling will also answer Uderfrykte's question below.

If sell orders are present in one place, we need to know where those orders go once engulfed. Won't say more than that, sorry.

Hi, my 2 cents are, it will often go lower there. it is just often loss, but at the same time, could be big winner. you of course know this

on 2nd thought, better (more objective) statement should be, price usually will bounce up there, but rarely a high RR move to catch; it is well likely bounced up a bit, then continue going down (even though the higher blue FL was engulfed)......

isn't it?

the higher levels of rtm trading is about understanding scale and orders (as self control already mentioned), being able to put together the full story. Once you can do that you'll be able to find high R trades on a consistent basis. A lot of patience as well.

Let me try to activate your cerebral cortex in order to wrap your head around it.

What is the difference between 1 meter and 100 cm? What about 0,001 km and 1 meter? What about 10 cm and 100 mm? Nothing. But you could say that 1 meter is made up of 100 centimeters, correct? As could you say that 1 meter is made up of 1000 mm, yes? And 10 cm is made up of 100 mm. What is the smallest measureable by our eyes? Let's just say 1 mm. Then let us call that the smallest scale. So if we look at a 1 meter scale, we know that within that meter we have smaller scales within it. So if you find a setup on a large scale, you would go into another scale to fine tune your entry, correct?

Then take a step back and look at it for what it is. Kilometer, meter, centimeter, millimeter, it doesn't matter - it's all just a unit of length, but at the same time they logically operate on different levels. You wouldn't measure a road length in millimeters or centimeters and you wouldn't measure a bearing clearance in meters.

This is becoming abstract, sorry. But try to understand what fractals are and how they are made - of the same patterns over and over again. If you look at a monthly chart it looks exactly the same as a tick chart, except the fact that in one corner it says "MN1" and in the other it says "T10". Imagine that 1 monthly candle equals 1 meter and then think about what I just said.

Hope it helps. You really should be able to figure it out with this info, if not you are not thinking hard or long enough.

Edit: Without an understanding of what an origin of a move and an engulf is, this knowledge is useless. So focus on that first. If you can't read what happened to price on a monthly chart and then look at a 1 minute chart and see the exact same thing happening over and over you need to figure out that first.

Like trade M5 origin to H4 target that you call scalling.

It is so great when I know the different between TT and PA trade.

Will work on it soon.

I guess TT is not for part time trade like me. Confirmed Trade will make me have 1st target so I can leave the chart.

Just when I thought was getting close, you have opened up a whole other world!

I feel like I have a grasp of most of this, but I'm still at the point where there are multiple potential origins to each move. As go down each fractal there are multiple OMs within multiple possible OMs etc etc...

Your ability to spot OM's with precision amongst multiple possibilities is clearly on another level and has given me a lot more to research and think about.
