at some point in time you'll hedge at a price where the market will never come back for months or years, and you'll have those orders floating around eternally, waiting to be closed and accumulating swap costs... might as well close for a small loss and move on with the next trade... just my 2 cts...
I agree with the swap cost mate, I have normally used it for scalping. The benefit can be good if you trade high leverage according to the account size, look at Dancingphil words, he was a master of hedging..

STUDY DEEPLY ,, AND ,, IN FULL DETAIL ,, WITH A FEEL ,,, the price behaviour when it comes back to each TOP on the UP ,,,, and LOW on the way back DOWN ,,,,, just like on the chart
Look for the HERD MENTALITY VALIDATIONS areas on the charts ,,, as there will be many in every market ,,, like i demonstrated in my LIVE calls

AFTER A Deep study of the detailed approach above ,,,,, WILL END UP ALL COMING INTO LIGHT FOR YOU ! ! ! !

It is humbling to get a chance to meet you to have part in my life. Your wisdom resonates in me and you have changed my perspective the way I have to see the market. You have break down the complex to peruse in simple terms. You are so generous to share the treasure you have kept over the years. You paved the road map how we can tackle the slaughter machine to become remnants from among the herds. You took the extra miles from writing to displaying one and on one basis. It is rare to find such human beings like you who took care to strangers from every walk of life from around the world. When I reach at some level I promised to myself to help others likewise.
