If you turn on "Show debugging values?" it will show whether or not your broker allows EAs - it may be that FBS doesn't allow EAs.

If it does, are there any messages in the Journal tab?

Having just taken a look at FBS, I have to say that I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole. They are CySec regulated, which means they are virtually unregulated (CySec is a joke and rarely does anything with complaints), they are not ECN brokers and guarantee no re-quotes, which means that THEY take the other side of your trades, so have a vested interest in you losing.

Sorry, only just seen this.

The difference in results will be down to spread - it will differ from broker to broker, and when spread widens during periods of very high or very low volatility, those differences can be huge.

There is no buy order for any of Pawel, feex, Paul's ultron versions.

default setting but with GMT offset by 2, if this wasnt suppose to open, might explain why the trade not doing so well haha

I've analysed the trades for the past 12 months, and there's a fairly even distribution across the week, with Tuesday standing out as the most prolific (almost double any other day).

Losses are fairly even across the board with only Monday trades showing no losses (but this is a small sample, and we've just had a Monday loss this week, so there's nothing special about Monday either).

Basically, you can close on Fridays if you like, but it looks quite resilient from the history.

That is weird.

The only explanation I can think of is that Oanda do have very large spreads, and at the point of candle opening, this influenced one or more of the MA values to the point where the EA opened a trade.

Ok now for a week I was silently following this Thread and first I have to say Tanks @Pawl.Gawron for generously posting such an EA.
@PaulDV I admire your skill set to code I wanna learn that too seems to be useful.

Anyway, I've @PaulDV EA version 104 which is currently in a trade (Oanda) strangely the news won't show up in the upper right corner even when turned on, do they work in the background? It is strange that some are in a trade and some are not this means that would affect the profitability of some EAs depending on which broker you are using!?

@PaulDV you are a busy man are you the one with the forexsteam asian session idea?

Thanks for the kind words - my coding skills are improving over time...I may go back to some of the early EAs I wrote and overhaul them with what I know now as I know I made loads of coding errors with them.

Have you installed the FFC.EX4 indicator? If you don't have it installed and turn on the news filter, the EA won't complain, but you won't get any news.

Yes, different brokers may result in different results - a lot can depend on things like spread and slippage.

Ignore your personal GMT offset, it's just your broker's server offset we're interested in.

In your case, you should leave the start and end hours as 07 and 19, and set the broker offset to 3. That should make the EA trade the correct times.

The only thing you may want to adjust is when Daylight Saving Time is updated:

During winter, your broker offset would normally be +2, and this is what you should normally enter in the parameters.

In the spring, when your broker moves to DST, you add 1 to the offset (so, now it will be +3).

When the UK moves to DST a few weeks later, you need to drop 1 from the offset (because the London session has moved forward an hour), so +2.

In the autumn, when your broker comes off of DST, you need to take 1 away again, leaving the offset on +1.

When the UK then comes off of DST a few weeks later, you need to add 1 back on , so the offset is, again +2 for the winter.


A bit convoluted, I know, but you only have to amend the offset which saves trying to calculate the base hours all the time.

@PaulDV what time zone have you set the default start and end time?

In the original version it is 9-21, in the Lite version it is 8-23, and in your version it is 7-19. I think this is where some members are getting confused.

So basically at the current time anyone who has their broker server time to GMT +3 which is most brokers that use NY close as EOD then they should set it at 7-19 with a +3 offset correct?
