As the applied risk increases the trader tends to want to cut the trade duration as soon as some meaningful profit is starting to show instead of moving with the trade towards the ultimate target.
The difficult part is not knowing exactly how far price will run in your favored direction before it changes direction in a big way.
One approach in such a situation is to start trailing your stop after X_Octives by a minimum of 1 Octive (preferably more) but for this to occur price has to have already moved a considerable distance from entry.
Clues can be gathered via PA observation, such as how the swings in PA have unfolded in the recent history of that symbol.
Then ofcourse, traders can apply the SQ9_Dates analysis and look for possible turning points into the future.
The turning dates do not necessarily suggest a major reversal, they could simply be a minor pullback followed by a continuation of the major trend.

EURUSD
General chart observations as follows:
Range for 2018 was about 1350 pips with overall trend being to the downside.
Range from year start 2018 to March 15 was about 640 pips which was followed by a strong reversal in direction.
Range from year start 2019 to March 15 was about 400 pips with a series of lower lows and lower highs representing a possible down trend in action.
SQ9_Dates
Turning Dates clearly shown on the chart.
Choice of Date :: High on January 10, 2019.
Choice of Angle :: 90 degrees.
New Moon coming out on March 20 which is next Wednesday (3 more trading days).
Average Monthly Range for March has already been exceeded (56 pips over an 8 month average and its only mid-month).
Gann Grid
Nice bounce up off the GG line but will it continue up or simply start to range trade (tighter episodes).
Observe the trendline drawn on the chart and how it might act as some form of resistance (an obstacle) to price moving higher up the chart.
It is also important to realize that under current technical analysis although a trade could be made it is not on my radar at this stage.

Lets take a quick look at the GBPUSD pair.
GBPUSD [D1::GG122]
Settings for the Gann Grid are GG UpTrend with a value of 122.1 (Octive Gap).
Notice how there is no interaction between GG and PA.
Lets adjust the settings in factors of only 2 !
Lets try setting the value to 244.2 and observe any interaction.
Here is the chart clear of any indicator settings:
What we see is the Gann Grid Projection line NOT making an intersection between either the Gann YRD High or Gann YRD Low at the Moon Phase line which means we reject this setting as INVALID and more onto other settings.
A valid setting is one which is both a factor of 2 of the current Octive Gap and where the GGPL makes a cross between the Gann YRD High and Gann YRD Low at the valid Moon Phase line for the current year.
If PA creates either a new high above the Gann YRD High price line or a new low below the Gann YRD Low price line then the YRD boundary range is increased and is also valid meaning that the GGPL can intersect between the new range at the valid Moon Phase line.
The Moon Phase line is a vertical line representing the applicable date.
Lets consider other valid Gann Grid settings.
Current Octive Gap = 122.1 pips
122.1 was valid but rejected due to lack of interaction between GG and PA.
122.1*2=244.2 turned out to be outside the valid range and was rejected.
If we keep multiplying up we get 122.1*4=488.4 but if you try this value it too is outside the valid range and will be rejected.
Only option then is to divide the Octive Gap by a factor of 2 and check for interaction.
Lets try 122.1/2 = 61.05 (rounding of decimal places up or down is allowed so 61.05 could be input as a value of 61.05, 61.1 or 61.0).
Here is what we get:
Now we see some good interaction.
Pay special attention to the next Full Moon Date and the corresponding GGZI !
Observe how price has very recently pushed aggressively off the GGPL with an intention to drive higher up the chart.
The GannUp YRD High was also taken out a few weeks ago and again we observe the market retesting recent highs.
The Master Octive shows price is in an OB zone so we know a short is pending however, as smart QCS traders we see that there is conflict between what the Master Octive shows and what chart structure is showing.
So we need to be patient and wait for the market to show us its hand ... which way is its intention UP or DOWN ?
If price breaks out above the 1.34277 level then we know higher prices are more likely.
If this upper Master Octive price level holds then perhaps a shorter term setup back down to the GG line at lets say the 1.31ish handle might be on offer.
There is no current Quad Candle Pattern to use in our favor which would have meant that price is attempting to roll-over and perhaps head to lower levels so this also suggests that we need to wait a little longer for higher CONFLUENCE.

QCS_MasterOctive indicator
Current number of downloads just for this indicator (as shown in Post 1) is as follows:
This covers about a 2 week period since March 3 and already 178 downloads have been made.
Sadly, as I peruse through the thread the number of posts related to this specially coded trading tool are almost non-existent.
The majority of posts related to the Master Octive indicator are from myself and maybe 1 or 2 other traders.
The indicator is to be applied to the QCS Methodology and no other purpose, however, as with other coded trading tools I see them making the rounds in non-related trading methods for which they are not designed.
Likewise with my Quad Candle Dashboard, I see it being applied incorrectly in non-related threads.
As a result it is likely that such tools will become unavailable from April 1, 2019.
Copies may only then be provided to traders posting useful information to my thread or to those traders whom I view as having made a considerable effort to do so in the past.
All other traders may very well need to apply a username and password in order to gain access but this will be at a much later date and is not guaranteed.
ps. extended expiries will be by invitation only.

Good PA interaction with the Gann Grid (GG scaling @ 1/2 Octive Gap) so we can work with this for the time being.
AMR [8 months] close to 227 pips and we know we won't get 100% of any given monthly range because to get that you'd need to pick the entry at either the top or bottom of the MN1 Bar and close out at the opposite end .... unrealistic to say the least.
ADR is about 75 pips so about an average mover meaning, is it worth a longer term setup ?
Bias is long but is a long entry a good idea ?

SL @ ~1 Octive Gap below current price or at the OPL_1 level (1.32446) to be precise.
Entry Long off the GGPL.
Target @ OPL_4, OPL_6 and OPL_8.
Fundamentals on USD and CAD are what ?

Hi Mastermind pick up on your method last week, am a newbie even though I'm on the wrong side of 50 years of age, have been dabbling in and out of forex for the last 10 years with no success but must admit your charts are pretty full on and still trying to grasp them but each day I'm picking up more and more, what I like about your method is the multiply checks and confluence that go towards each trade, hopefully with your mentoring and guidance I can become successful in trading. cheers and thanks for your great work
The difficult part is realizing as a trader that to be successful does not mean being in a trade all the time and certainly be patient plays a big role.
