As a new member that is great to hear. While I am new hopefully I will have something to add and give back fairly soon. The videos are excellent but there is always something that I might miss and need help with. Thank you

Dear Gene.
I have a question.
In this chart I am using Swingex and Semaex. I think the Swingex has already ended the trade, but the trade is ongoing. When is the exit time?

When you use both the Swing and Semafor as an exit they both must agree just like they do on an entry.

You must wait for the Semafor Exit Signal and Swing Exit Signal to agree before it will exit the trade.

As always your coding efforts, responses to questions and educational videos are much appreciated. I know there is life outside of Forex and don't expect you to be around 24/7 or even 24/5 to answer questions nor perform coding. I too am cutting back and not posting every day, spending more time away from the computer screen and getting outdoors a bit more in pursuit of my other hobby fishing (although I'm not that good, it's fun and relaxing).

Just one question are you aware of the issue with HAS and HAS2 not always signalling to the DB, as described in my post #3738?

One point is it possible to select days of the week to trade? When backtesting other systems I sometimes have found that some currencies trade better on some days. What do you think? Certainly, Friday afternoon is not a great time to enter trades for some systems.

I have dropped HAS2 as part of my setup. I was trying to use HAS HAS2 with a Fractal BO but in reality was never going to trigger a trade or if it was it would have been at the top / bottom of a run. Dropped the HAS2 yesterday and had a very nice first up result on a 28 pair basket with a 60m HM filter.

I think that is a good idea, the markets at the present do not appear to follow any nice trends, they are more swinging up and down particularly the GBP pairs. Also my relatively successful testing with HASv1 only involved the one HAS set at 2,3,3,2 with BO trigger, so I expect Basket_Trader to work in a similar manner with HAS+BO. I have actually started a test setup to check HASv1 against Basket_Trader_v9, we will see how it goes.

Thanks a lot, if only we could have something like marine signal flags describing current conditions and best TS setting for choppy waters or long tides!

S9 DM SD TS, results for the last couple of days,I don't know if this is just luck but results are not bad at all.

In my mind the best strategy for choppy waters is a bounce off S & R , see a system that I am working on. Its only 34 trades but initial results is definitely encouraging. It would be nice to get it coded onto the DB maybe

Thanks for that has been sometime since I touched v1 Ts's specially DM_SD_TS definitely some food for thought here and worth getting back to basics on days like this week. Guess Gene is best positioned to answer this one re DB implementation.

Is there anyone trading the renko BO system? I just have set today with HM240 as a filter on 10pip blocks. Lets see how it goes.

I stopped testing Renko some time ago because the computer I had at that time could not keep up with it and since then have been focusing on Basket_Trader. I have a more powerful box now, so it will be good to revisit some of the other earlier TS's, including RENKO. Let us know how you get on.

Nothing worse than a ranging market when you're sleeping. Add in the fact that a Market Basket exacerbates the ranging issue and you wake up to baskets like this:-

I think you need to have a look at your time of day first, no matter what system I have tried the time of day is crucial to every system. Run on Demo First analyse every 100 trades in a pivot table (Send me your trades if you want to) and see what currencies are best and at what time.
