DislikedSome results for Friday, which were not affected by the HAS+HAS2 signalling issue described in post #3738: AUD Basket: HAS+HAS2: win {image} GBP Basket: HAS+HAS2: win {image} CORE5 Basket: HAS+HAS2: win {image} 60m All Pairs: HAS+BO+HM240: win, but maybe be affected by HAS signalling issue. {image} 60m All Pairs: HASv1+HM240: win {image}Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hi Gene just to add this TS setup also did not generate a signal on the DB in spite of the aligned HAS/HAS2/BO signal. Although I'm still using v7 just to complete the weeks trading with some consistency, seems from JustUncleL's post it can also occur on v9. I didn't think this is a frequent occurrence however I did also have varying number of trades opening overnight across different brokers ranging from 4 to 13 (see attached) with the same setup and was putting this down to broker behaviour. Unfortunately I did not have the signal alert...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hi Gene is there anything I can do to test whether the lack of trades on occasions is due to S9 issues or broker behaviour? ThanksIgnored
Disliked{quote} Until Eugene gets time to have a look at the HAS+HAS2 signalling issue, I've worked out a bit of a work around: after each trading session (for me that's just before Tokyo open), you need to reset the All Pairs charts by closing all charts and then open all charts again, this should clear all pairs to signal again. I then put most of my DB on Daily, then only one signal needs to be executed for each pair/day. With Baskets you only need to Edit the S9_Basket_Trader_TS indicator on the Offline chart then close it, that will again reset the...Ignored
DislikedI am working on an idea, if there were 4 different systems running on the same account, and if the total equity got to a certain level then it would close all open trades on all 4 systems. Anyone running more than more system? Or do you typically run the system you like?Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hi fjtully good results there thanks for posting. I was trying the idea of running multiple setups on the same account from different platforms and ultimately got confused before realising they were interfering with one another. Whilst we can set the DB Properties -> Magic Number and Comments field differently for each setup I believe the EQ/DD values can't be entirely segregated as they are running on the same account. I tried to work out what was happening in trade closures but found it too much of a challenge and moved on. Hope that helps....Ignored
Disliked{quote} Thanks for coming back to me, forgot about the magic number cheers, I am going to try and let you know how I get on. I have found that time of day been very influential on performance, on HAS the F240 HM filter has also been good. Can you tell me what HAS 2 is?Ignored
Disliked{quote} HAS2 is part of S9_Basket_Trader_TS_v9 (I think it was introduced in version 6, but now updated), see it's just after HAS parameters: {image} It works similar to the standard HAS, but is normally setup with a longer and slower MA lengths. You can then use HAS2 as a long term trend filter, in combination with any of the other filters, but I normally combine it with the fast HAS.Ignored
DislikedPoor results for Tuesday: AUD Basket, HAS+HAS2: {image} GBP Basket, HAS+HAS2: {image} CORE5, HAS+HAS2: {image} 60m All Pairs, HAS+BO+HM240: {image} 240m All Pairs, HAS+HAS2+HM1440: {image} Looks like Swing Trading setup may be better for the current market conditions.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Thanks for sharing JustUncleL similar experiences yesterday although no screen shots, apologies. Trying to standardise on DB Basket SL so I can get back into auto & forget mode; just realised my previous estimates of 150 pips SL allowance catered for 90% of trades using HAS/Swing/Semafor with typically larger DD in my experience but in comparison successful HAS/HAS2 setups seem to get results within half of that or @ 75 pips with lower number of trades, after which we can get into the unrecoverable deep red. Does this generally tally up...Ignored
