Nice way to wake up today. This is a pair I have rarely traded but I saw a good opportunity yesterday and it paid some nice dividends this morning! Approximately 50 pips and some nice profits!

For all of those who don't believe me, here's a screenshot of my current open trades.
As you can see, it takes some money to make some money and it takes a lot of money to make a lot of money. I suppose I would put my portfolio in the latter category. Sometimes when I see an opportunity, I will go heavy and hard and seize it. This morning was a good example as was March 1. I knew that the big dips in the USDCAD based on some events would be short-lived and I guessed right.

fx75, I just posted my portfolio. So, the answer to your question is 'yes'. I use TPs but rarely use SLs until I reach a certain level of profit. As a result, it costs me and it also results in trades that can be in place for years.

I have 7.5 lots of trades that were opened in 2013 with swaps that are ugly, real ugly! You should have seen some trades I closed on December 31! They were even uglier! I will post some here for you to see!

You see I took a loss of $131,505.03 in a span of 9 minutes on December 31, 2018. It looks like the end of the world but in reality, until I chose to dump those trades I made the following:
So I took a loss of -$48,589.04 for the year. This helped me clean up my portfolio to a good extent and I can carry those losses over until next tax season.
