Anyway, thanks a lot.
My question relates to modifying TMA settings for scalping. At the moment the Extreme TMA 8 TMAs in it, ranging from 1 MIN to 1 MN. When you suggest we change TMA settings do you mean we would have double of each for the 5, 15 and 60 Minutes. Or is it OK to delete the D1, W1 and MN1 so we have only the lower TFs TMAs?
If only the lower TF TMAs are used, do we leave the TMA slope panel unchanged?

If your going to work with the m5/m15/h1 TMAs its ok to deleted the others and hide them on the slope indi as well, because this will be your top-down view to trade signals on the m5. But personally I think the template Al shared already have the higher tmas hided on the lower tf so I don't rly understand your question. I think you'll only need to hide the higher slopes on the indi.

Thank you Mercennary. The guidance provided by Al in the post I quoted refers to changing the settings for Higher TMA TFs. This is why I asked the question.

I think I found the issue: not enough memory, i.e. needed to reduce the amount of bars in chart in settings.

Anyway, fixed the purple tma issue, now it gets painted on the chart but this seems impossible to backtest, for some reason, at some point, the purple TMA gets totally horizontal and doesn't refresh when using it in the strategy tester for the H4 timeframe...
the slope info panel also doesn't seem to refresh its data. is anybody else having these issues?

Dear poneill,

There is no need to place it into the MetaEditor. Just directly copy the ex4 file into the indicators folder and may need right click where the indicators are listed and press refresh or restart the platform for it to appear in the list.

You can access the indicator folder via your platform by clicking: File > Open Data Folder > MQL4 > indicators

Otherwise it is hard to find

It is not possible to edit a .ex4 file - you need the original .mq4 file, which is a bit like the difference between an excel file (=open file, like mq4) and the pdf version of it (=closed file, like ex4).
