I have a lot of stuff in my toolbox I've picked up over the years to help me with forecasts. My forecasts are by no means high probability especially the very detailed ones! The reason I use forecasts is that it encourages me to go for high reward/risk ratio trades and gives me the confidence to get back in if I get stopped out 2 or 3 times and once the trade starts to go in my direction to hold on. My forecasts are mainly based on a lot of time observing market structure. I mainly use

- Basic Elliott wave patterns like impulses, wedges, triangles
- Recognizing whether the market is trending, ranging, or both
- Trend & channel lines
- Horizontal support & resistance (supply and demand zones, 50% and 61.8% retracements)
- What feels right to me

Here's a different perspective on my gold forecast from yesterday which used the adjusted Gold futures contract. The GLD Spider Trust ETF has a slightly different structure which makes the forecast a lot cleaner. I expect a pullback in the next few weeks but I'd wait for the daily uptrend line to break before shorting as the momentum is really strong still. I think the pullback should last about a month or so and then I expect a large bullish move to about the $143 area where there is a ton of confluence that I anticipate will reverse the move and begin the "C" wave down from the 2011 highs.

hi guys

nice to have this thread , i trade only on weekly charts as i find traditional rules are heavily respected and there is a higher RR. im in AUD CHF for long, and what do you guys think of EUR/ AUD thinking of going short (sorry away from my computer couldnt send charts for today )
