I am still amazed GBPs are holding on to their gains. GU barely descended
Time! is a factor in trading.
Should drop minimum 100pips
MM really destroyed accounts last 24hrs...One of the reason why doing a calendar helps.

I stopped since a couple months after Brexit (or the shadow of it) trying to prove to myself I can trade GU and GJ. MY trades have been fewer but more accurate since. Why traders want to get bitch slapped is beyond me...but then again...maybe some can handle it and like the volatility (risk) and can trade it, since I didn't want the risk, I made the decision to eliminate my demon and have been able to focus more on those pairs that are willing to pay without so much drama.

Hi Davit, it's hard to say why, maybe there's something more behind the scenes we retailers don't know yet.
Now some subsidence signs begin to show, I see it difficult that simple talks can support and maintain for long period such an increase in value for GBP. I'm long on EG and short on GC, current DD is limited and acceptable.
I'm tempted to short GU too but doing this would expose me to higher risk, anything can happen and GBP pairs are "more unpredictable than ever"

Anyone else like NZDUSD for a sell

I'm pretty heavy on it

I just really don't think with everything going on with the NZD news and the Holding of the 38 R that it is going up very much right now

Not to mention they still haven't closed the gap from this weekend

I am on it as well. The only caution is the positive news expected for AUD + the correlation between both.

At London open GBP power remains overkill, GU less than 20 pips from 1.33
For those like me, who are on GC short & EG long there's no other thing to sit on hands and wait.
It went well that yesterday I didn't short GA & GU too.

Remember also next week is BOC rate statement, Forecast is 1.75 vs 1.75.
This will also help to sell GBPCAD further down.

Been a while since I posted. Some nice set ups on GBP pairs but I made a plan not to trade until post brexit. Finding it tough but sticking to my guns. Just closed AN at WPP, nice profit. Currently short NU, NC and long EN...Aware we have CAD CPI news today so watching closely.

The way I trade and most professionals day starts when NY closes.Some assume London open is "market open" This is wrong since entire Asia opens earlier.
NY close 5pm. Move the line plus or minus until where you live your chart is exactly 17:00pm NY

Since we are on daily open subject. I look for price on a glace where the bias is. If it is under D O then market bias is bear if above bull however since true liquidity starts from London you must not make hasty assessment.Its there also for measuring pip distance moved from D O

Pairs that move well during Asia are obviously Asian currencies
Yen NZD AUD and their crosses. Other majors don't usually move much. This is why AUD/NZD can move great deal on Asia session.

As a Trader who trades GBP pairs alot and follow all the fundamentals around it my insight is: the reason why GBP is so strong is the fact that a no deal is almost ruled out(the biggest fear factor). Yet its technically still on the table, but with the given options No Deal is not very realistic.

Option 1: vote for Mays Deal, 12 March (very likely gets rejected)

Option 2: vote on No Deal, 13 March(very likely gets rejected)

Option 3: vote on delaying Brexit 14 March (Extending Article 50)

Extending Article 50 seems the most likely scenario at the moment imho.
May doesnt have enough supporters for her terrible deal, but Nobody wants a No deal too.
But if the House votes for Extending Article 50 there will be more time to clear the backstop problem.

Bascially May put a pistol on the MP's chest yesterday, which says accept my deal or accept my deal. There isnt enough support for a No deal, also there isnt enough support for Mays deal, but extending article 50 will high likely lead to her deal. So she just plays the time card, the result will be the same if theres no majority for a no deal.

The fact that no deal is getting more unlikely was priced in in the last 2 weeks i think, thats why GBP was so strong. GBP is massively overbought and I think its time for a correction until 12th March. Almost all GBP pairs giving a too good price to sell, MMs wont miss.

March will be a high risk month for GBP pairs, I will make sure to have all my positions closed before 12 March. I expect the GBP rise to pre Brexit areas the closer we come to the Brexit. Once the Brexit is fact, I think GBP will be very bullish.

Heavy short on NC moving down nicely.Will hold most likely Friday past CAD GDP
If events print green today and Fri CAD GDP data I anticipate maybe 88
Should ANZ Business Confidence print bigger number then -24 this will tank fast.Its a mover.
