Hi FXCyborg Thank you for your system and the effort to help others. Appreciated!!! But I really need your help to understand this system. Even with the help of HH, LL and HL’s to find the trend it’s so easy to make mistakes with this system, along with the trend and counter trend. How do you filter these errors? There’re so many of them! Please see some potential examples below. Even with perfect body lengths, with the trend, different time frames, engulfing 1 one or 2 bars. I’ve tried every possible combination. And I have to admit there are some...

You have everything here....go trade by trade so someone could guide you better... I see many setups here that actually aren't right ones...

Because you see engulfing that doesn't mean it is always valid trade... It is more than that, idea is not to have 100% correct trades, it is impossible... It is about RRR, only catch best setups (trend, 2 same bars, engulfing). With few good trades a week it can be done, and with compouding step by step your knowledge experiance and account will grow.

Cheers!

I see many many people here misunderstanding the strategy... Anyway, i just have one question left, the 2 similar candles before the engulfing must be similar size right, but you include the wicks or you watch only the body?
Ignored

Pretty sure its only the body.

Not really in my opinion. The price hit´s a strong resistance line and war never much higher in the last months,
So there is a high probability that this setup will lead to a winning trade.
I would push the TP higher to the support line where it touched already two times in the 5 min chart.

Thanks FXCyborg for sharing this method, I am trying it while I am reading this thread. Here is my observation for today EURCAD M1

In real time I only took the first blue one at the top, is it a valid setup? the price spiked out of the blue area, my SL was set at 5 pips, that saved me.
the 2nd blue one I found it in hindsight, the second bull bar has a small body, is it valid setup?

the green long looks good setup, but the first 2 didn't work out, I feel the 3rd one might work.

I might miss something about this method, some setups I picked don't have a high probability.
please someone can clue me in the right direction.

Thanks.

Suggestion: to reduce your DD If you are going to be trading 4 hour chart, you may consider a limit buy order at 50% length of your engulfing candle instead of a market buy. 2/3 of time the next candle retraces to the 50% line. This may not matter much at M1 or M5, but at H4, half an engulfing candle's HL length is a lot of pips left on the table for grabs!

I am going to have a crack at this puzzle My observation is that the fib is drawn on rapidly rising or falling price movement (ie, that doesn't have a whole lot of ranging moves in the specific TF shown, or @ higher TFs for that matter). In other words, my guess would be that in order for this setup to work, you'd need to have a large number of bulls or bears candles in a row within the structure at whatever time frame you are drawing the Fib at to be able to apply this 71.9% setup to! Is that correct of am I hallucinating? lol

I think you can look at the green boxes and the zoomed in box in the pic as areas of interest to look for the setup.

{quote} I may be wrong and stand to be corrected but I don't see any buy setup, according to the rules 2 bars of approximately the same size followed by an engulfing bar which only engulfs the second bar is the way to go. See post 1

From what I have seen, even if the first 2 bar bodies are not of equal sizes and one is really small, is still ok (only not ideal). Engulfing only the 2nd bar is a strict rule though. If the first bar is engulfed (making the setup invalid), you have to zoom into a lower tf to find a valid setup.

Dear FxC,

You must have dropped from the heavens.

Two cute and easy to learn strategies for scalping and swinging from someone we don't even know his real name?

C'mon I have to ask: what's in it for you?. Many guys only want to get your money for crap education. Using this simple scalping method, I have had 7 straight wins, total tens of wins and a few loses, of which were even largely due to my error of correctly reading the trend. Hmm, God will simply reward you.

Dam @FXCyborg I’m still working on the first one!

I am really digging your trading style by the way. I’ve been using technicals, however I prefer the simplicity of yours. I was wondering if you offer any coaching/mentoring? I am very interested as I’ve been into forex trading for about a year and a half. Currently hitting a plateau and have been struggling in figuring out what am I doing wrong... I won’t give up though. I’m determined and this is what I really enjoy doing despite the struggles!
