i'm not remotely close to judging.i'm just trying to figure out why you even contemplating of going live with $80. like you said, the time factor is not worth it, you value your time? put a bit more in it. at least make minimum wage out of the deposit per day in pnl

Yeah, I’m not going with $80. Not worth it. I’m currently talking with a couple people who seem to be interested on what I’m doing, so we’ll see how it goes.

Will update here.

Drawdown on this one yesterday reached 1k. Let’s see if I can make as much in profit. If I have the balls to hold everything until intended TP, and not interfere, then probably yes. We’ll see, I’ll test my patience on this one

Yen isnt in a good place fundamentally and if any positive news comes out on brexit today you could see a few hundred pips north of current price.

Hopefully I’ll close all the remaining trades by beginning of next week. This setup hasn’t been smooth at all to trade. A lot of back and forth, consolidation and time wasting. I got very bad entries too. Despite all of that, plus the current drawdown, I still finished the week for a profit.

And from the perspective that the cup is half full, I had 10% drawdown this time compared to 45% from middle of January. So I guess I’m improving in that regard.

I hope to have some good news next week

Wondering why you said on another thread about another trader stating he is the only one you consider better than you while you continue to open trades on an account that is 27% in drawdown?

demo trades. no consequence.
and it is hard to digest that potential investors tend to not like 2 things: demo traders and large max dd.
with time it will sink in to Rapha, too.
there is always, always another trade!!

It is not super-important because this is a demo account, but I would suggest the following modification to this strategy: When you see candles of this type (i.e. almost full body candles) on the daily TF going in the direction opposite of your trades and creating large drawdowns, do not add to your position, cut losses and look for trades in the opposite direction. Otherwise one places the entire account (or potentially more!) at risk. Strong trends without pullbacks are rare but do exist. If one is caught the wrong way around, it is best to recognize it and fix the situation.
Cheers,
k

humbly disagree in part, by the time he will see that 3rd full bodies daily candle, going that direction may be a tad bit too late, and likely to find himself chewed up on the reversal toward mean.

however, to run into 43-45% DD, with a prayer isnt a good thing.
for the trader it is his money and choice, but for potential investors, that is bad news.
there is always, always another trade!!

Guys.

Things are starting to get very interesting. I’ll make a more lengthy post about the whole situation later. But for now, let me explain what I’m currently doing.

I’ve started to take the losses. Yes. But there’s a catch. Here’s how I’m doing it.

I only want to take a loss if I make the equivalent amount in profit FIRST. So there’s no drop in the balance.

Here’s an example of the first one shown in the pictures. Today in a few hours I made about $200 profit, then I closed the smallest loser that matched that $200.

Picture 1: $200 profit I made early today.
Pictire 2: The loser circled in red that I closed it.

$0 drop in balance.

There’s 9 more losers to go. Account ‘invest’ has been neglected, I’ll fix it after. I’m only working on ‘strong’ right now.

Take a loss is one thing. Accept loss is a different thing. Fight until the end. Find a solution. Do your best.
