I have been with Oanda for 6yrs and never had issues.Got my money out within few hrs directly to my checking account without fees.
Yes spread varies specially on high impact news events but that's common among many brokers.
Just saying from my personal experience I like Oanda
I was with MBTrading before and did not like how they dealt with my account.
In trading, you have to be defensive and aggressive at the same time

I've been as of now trading with a considerable measure of brokers and encountered a great deal of terrible/swindling rehearses and in addition great ones. Presently I might want to share my experience and tell here which brokers you should not exchange with and which brokers depend on my experience safe to exchange with. I'd additionally get a kick out of the chance to welcome different traders to share their experience (genuine records just!) and I'll add your experience and notes to this initially post. I'd get a kick out of the chance to make something like database of broker's notes/experience and table of genuine versus low-quality brokers.

I'm glad to have found this just in time as I'm wanting to open a live account.
Thougtht I would go live with ICM or Pepperstone but the reviews left on review sites are just so scary.
Have to be extra careful going forward.

Whilst reading this thread I took note of traders talking about ping, trade execution time, slippage etc, how do you guys monitor all of this.
Also is there a simple way to compare broker spreads. I'm looking for a STP type broker [no commission] as I hold my trades for a few days.

I use attached EA. It shows all stats directly in MT4.

I have noticed 1-2 week after you register around in some brokers, a number of calls from call centers to offer you investing possibilities.
Of course this is included in their 6950 pages of TOS .

I'd like to trade with IB or LMAX, UK regulated, fair execution, low spreads and comissions.
IB's minimun comission is 2$ so you have to trade 1 lot or more and LMAX minimun deposit is 10.000 and it's not easy they accept you as client.
(they asked me proof that i have a investment portfolio of 500.000 €)

If this conditions don't suit to you I'd go with Darwinex.

Never had that with Pepperstone, but had this issue with many others...

I use IC Markets Real ECN ....and they are excellent. As much as for example FXCM is awful, IC honest. With FXCM the slippage was always against me, but with IC the slippage is often very much in my favor. I see that "the coincidence" is not manipulated !
