Hi aaven, the setup you market above is disqualified by that long bearish candle. I think if you get proper setup at Imbalance zone (price will test the zone) you can take it.

Thanks Majrou for responding. It's true that the big bearish candle would have triggered the Stop Loss. But before the formation of the big bearish candle, we wouldn't know that. I want to know in principle if one can take trades above an Imbalance Zone.

Thanks

Hello,

First off, my thanks to FXCyborg for sharing this, and answering the same questions over and over again. Must be a really patient person.

I found this thread last monday and thought I would give it a whirl, see if it does what is says. I've been playing with it for a couple of days now and I think I am getting the hang of it. Still having difficulties with the lower timeframes, but that has always been a problem with me.

Took that GBPUSD trade mor707 posted because I had found it as well. Good stuff so far. Will keep you updated on progress.

Hi Cane

Thanks for your response. I'm referring to my post 2271 and your post 2275.

Could you clear this for me please: Once I have identified setup on higher TF ( in my case USDJPY 30 min), I step down to a lower timeframe( I normally look at 5 min and 1 min TF simultaneously) to look for 3 bar setup. When I notice 3 bar setup, like you have ( USDJPY 1 minTF around 08h43 on your chart, post 2275), I wait for a retracement, like you have indicated ( around 09h15) and take the trade, with minimal stop loss ( reducing draw down). Now, do I still rely on take profit(TP) levels that I drew on higher TF ( in my example, USDJPY 30 min) or do I draw new TP on my execution chart, 1 min chart in this case??

I will have to go back to the post that Fxcyborg discussed this "stepping down on a time frame, I can't remember which post was it.

Kind Regards

Abzozo

Personally I would not consider this trade to be within the discussed system, because the three-candle pattern is at a top. I hope it works for you though!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VEYh7eNtVro Hi everyone, I have found a video explaining the reasoning behind the accumulation/consolidation process prior to the candle formation which made everything so much more clear. I would suggest everyone to have a watch. The video explains the reasoning why after the 3 candle formation, price moves away and quickly comes back to the formation It would be great to see what you all take out of this video

Ladies and Gentleman. I appreciate you all very much. I have gone way above and beyond giving you all insights of not only about how this market works, I have given you a method of approach you can use - for FREE. And we're starting to go off course here... As much as I would love to give you more info on this, that and the other, but its not the scope I laid out for each of you to follow. That is reserved for those under my wing, so to speak. I can't sit here as much as I would like to give full in-depth answers to questions that...

{quote} Master FXCyborg, Kindly critique my setup {image} I want to perfect this aspect before dwelling further into setup within setup... Also, as a shortcut in a defining a trend, can one mark latest structural lows and highs: any setup falling within could be sell and any setup falling above could be buy? {image} Thanks

Hi Aaven. In your image the trend is up. Follow the highs and the lows. If the structure keeps making higher highs and higher lows, its trending up (see the green circles and the green line ). When it starts printing lower highs and lower lows, then its trending down. As you can see, the trend (towards the end) is clearly upwards. In that case you need to look for a Bullish engulfing candle (the third candle needs to be a large green and going up after two white ones) to open a long position (in order to follow the trend). Hope that helps

Hi Abzozo

What I have learned from FXC, when you take a trade (or set a limit order) on 1M chart, you need to set your first TP
at the structural level which the price made before coming to revisit your entry. Also as I understood, you may adjust
the TP to the higher TF structural level (which you have noticed when you identified a trade on a higher TF) and in that
case you may protect your profit by moving your SL in a BE or profit area.

Though I explained all the above I stand corrected by FXC or any other experts

Hi FXCyborg, If I am not getting off the topic, would you mind explaining what constitutes a classical order block? (presence of multiple rejection wicks? rapid exit of the price movement outside of the block? retest of the block?) And in those setups, do you typically enter the trade with a limit order on the retest of the block or are there other tell tell signs of a classic block to just place the order at the engulfing candle conterminous line?

Thank you again for all your generosity with your time.
