Just a Word of Warning! Spot Forex Volume is pretty useless since your Broker provides it. Unless you Trade Futures i would stay with Market Profile (Timebased)!

I highly recommend trading futures though since it is a regulated Market and provides legit and real time Data NOT the Wild Wild West (Spot Forex) where your Broker takes the other Side of your Position (sometimes Unhedged!) and chooses what information he shares and what not!

Volume is good as itself, IMO
At least we trade the ticks, and ticks forms the volume
A example, when price comes to a key level, maybe BRN, if it got there quickly(with less tick volume), the number tend to hold the price, if it reach the level slowly, then up/down for a while(tick volume increasing), sooner or later it will break the level.
The problem is it is confusing and sometime contrary and to quick for human
